    DONE with H4350

Using H4350 for my .260, 43.5gr with 140amax, was getting 2900fps. changed lots, same 43.5gr is now getting 2950-2975fps with pressure signs... Switched to .308 palmas resized, getting 1915-35 depending on the temp that day (shade 50degrees to upper 90s in the sun). Pressure signs have...

Rifle Scopes Budget scope... For a kid?

Nice deal right there, the closer you get to 10x though you get less whitewash in really sunny situations, when shooting at an uphill plane with the sun somewhere in front me (rather than it being to my back) my 16x gets a bit of whitewash

    First time past 1000......

Very nice job for your first real go at 1000, I'm running 43.5gr H4350 for my 140 Amaxs... 26" barrel and I'm getting 2920 out of mine, have you chrono'd at all? Like someone else said earlier, you should really look into 6.5-06 since you have a long action.

So what brand chronograph is the hide favorite?

I really don't see a valid argument for these "change in POI" complaints... you simply figure out your accuracy nodes then chrony them. I look for groupings rather than points of impact, scopes have those clicky things on the top and the side for a reason.

Rifle Scopes Budget scope... For a kid?

if you'd get a SWFA SS, get the 10x and mil/mil, matching ret/turrets helps learning adjustment, tracks well, nice heavy duty feeling scope for the price. It's a scope that keeps it's Value as well so you can turn around and sell them for near the new price if she gets more into it and decide...

Rifle Scopes SWFA Super Sniper ?? what power 10,12,or 16 ??

He's referring to tracking as clicking through the scope hitting the same spots. Such as a box test, shoot a spot on a target, do 1 Mil(10 .1mil clicks) up, shoot same spot, go 1 mil right, shoot same spot, do 1 mil down, shoot same spot, do 1 mil left, shoot again after doing that, you should...

Any idea when we might see H4350 again?

For the couple of people from ohio on here I saw, Buckeye Outdoors in Hebron/Newark/Heath area, I've found #1's of H4350 each of the few times I've went up there... 3 one time, 2 another, 1 another time, ect.. they have quite a bit of different powder on the shelf... was able to get 4000 LR CCI...

How much change in accuracy from Lee dies to Match grade dies?

Lees are your best bang for the buck, and unless you are a super ultra perfectionist and you strap your gun to a bench to do all of your shooting... you wouldn't noticed a difference, it's more a personal preference & bells and whistles

Help me find a quality precision rifle under $1000

Love my 12LRP in .260, added a 16x42 SWFA SS, and after a few person additions (thread w/ brake & new bolt handle) it's shooting really well.. doing as well in local competitions out to 1000yards with a setup which is equal cost to what a lot of guys just paid for their scope there.

New Savage 12 LRP blowing primers

An earlier poster mentioned about having a 12 LRP in .260 and not liking max book loads... I have a factory one as well except mine shoots like a dream with max loads and higher... running Varget with 123gr Lapuas and h4350 for 140 A-Maxs (got 5 lb of RL-17 yesterday going to see how it runs...

    Went to the range today

The wind is always a factor... everything really is a factor... if it's a crosswind it will drift left/right, if it's a wind that blows toward/away from you, it can change heights and also bring it left/right

1MOA is fine honestly with that load with that wind, idk why you would be against groups of that. just really depends how you shoot, I mean it's all about a comfortable position. When you say sandbags, just how are you set up?

    Went to the range today

If you don't have a recoil management device on the front of your rifle.. (brake, supressor, ect), and without the proper technique, then yeah expect a rifle jump... at 100 yards the bullet hits so soon that unless you stay on scope you won't have much chance to see a hit. With my brakeless...
