Well, sounds like they all get sapphire. The glare is an interesting point though. Would have to check that out. It's all very well gushing over the AB integration - but it first and foremost needs to be a watch I can live with predominately on my wrist. I don't really do multiple watches.
So. Am I right in thinking you can't get Applied ballistics and the Saphire face? I have owned several Garmin's now, and quickly got tired of face scratches, hence liking the sapphire - don't care how the body looks - but the face needs to start clear. The rangefinder/card is the aspect that...
Is anyone utilising the drop scale factor within coldbore? I have found the .5 to be a general use - but for 'truing' it - are there any best practices? Shoot and adjust? Rules of thumb? I have looked at the analyser - but don't have a system to measure velocity out to much distance (I have...
Genuinely interested to hear about the mag issues. I spent a couple of minutes playing with the lips on the top of mine and never had feeding issues... much like tuning an AI mag.
I think it's also just a case of what you are used to. I tend to follow a lot of what THLR/Norway/LRProf does - so hear a lot of things being worked with in m/s. Some of the 'quick wind rules' also seem to be a bit simpler in m/s - but, again, that's more coincidence than by design.
While I appreciate the recommendation, I can't say it's close to par with its company (obviously our chat with Frank was phenomenal). Working on it. For hunting - you also have the Meateater Podcast - which isn't necessarily technical, but I like Rinella and Crews attitude and Steve's interview...
A question I have, that is my current focus at well - is rear bag use. Most videos I have watched/course attended etc, kinda just breeze by the rear bag - put it under the rear, squeeze to change elevation etc, etc... But - a couple of questions for all the folks out there... Do you prefer...
Yeah, realise that and that's what I am doing - export the data, drop into a 'raw data page' in excel and the next tab pulls the data and reformats it for me. Was just wondering if I was missing a page that was already field formatted.
Just checking I am not missing it - but is there a quick way to print a basic range card from within Coldbore? I can see I could export the data as an XLS then format in Excell, but wondering if there is a quicker option? Basically after the distance, drop, wind...
Ah yes - for maintenance purposes the Bluetooth is awesome - I create all my profiles on the phone, bump them over then turn off the Bluetooth (battery use). This means all my profiles are on the phone, as well as the Kestrel - the last software update cleared the Kestrel of its profiles - but I...
