choosing a bullet for 6 creed

There is a lot of support for the 105s. When I started shooting 6 Creedmoor all I could get was the 115VLD. I point it and only run it at about 2830 from a 22" barrel. My bc matches to about .310 G7. I'm basically shooting a 6.5 ballistically but with less recoil.

    400 mod bb

I have one in a cf wrapped barrel. I had that chambered in 7mm RM. I don't have many rounds on it, but it gives the best accuracy of all the rifles in my safe. That is being compared against other bartlein, rock creek, and hawk hill. I just ordered another for an NRL Hunter open light build.

Groundhog caliber I intend to eat them

Well I've tried fried coyote, but couldn't finish even a bite. Makes good dog treats. I'm guessing groundhog couldn't be much worse. I don't know how many I've killed, and I don't remember thinking about eating them. Although most of the ones I've shot it was with whatever I've had handy and...

Spotting Scope or Binoculars (and tripod)

I've shot a lot of USPSA over the years and then started into PRS. I've gotten much more into the gear for PRS than I was into USPSA gear. I stayed in production and carry optics but never got into limited or open. I used a spotting scope for a lot of matches, but I'm probably in the...

Ruger Precision Rifle, thermal shift , Inaccuracy, common problem?

I had a 308 RPR. It did pretty well with 168 ammo but not as well with 175. It was a first gen also. I used it for PRS in both 6.5x47 and in 308 for a few years. It held zero. I sold it a few years ago to move onto other things.

    6.5x47 still relevant?

I think if you are an average PRS competitor, it doesn't really matter what you shoot with between the 6s and 6.5s. I've shot local PRS matches and did very well with a 6.5 Addiction (50'ish grs of powder under a 140 going 2950). That was an 18# rifle. When I switched to a 22# 6 Creedmoor, I...

Bipod use, range report, Seekins SP10-6.5 CM

I just focus on pulling the rifle with the bipod into my shoulder as well. I don't try to load. Some surfaces are easier or better for loading, so I would see inconsistencies based on amount of loading. I agree, I might very well have a poor technique. With certain AR platform rifles I've...

    40gr slugs for panthera

Not as nice as your Panthera, but when I tune my dreamline with the 21 gr hybrids, I'll take a 7sd. I think 4 or 5 was the best I managed. However, I tune by accuracy at 50 yds and then check the velocity. I could generally get 1-1.5" groups at 100 with the 21 hybrids with my best tune. So...

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

My 25.5" remage is pushing my 140 hybrid load at 2920, but that was only with 40 rounds down the tube. It started at 2900. After the Barnes load work it has 85 on it. By the time I get to 200 rounds, I expect it to be around 2950. That is where my last 26" barrel ran for most of its accurate...

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

After about a year of not having an addiction, I put one back together. I was able to put a remage barrel on a Remington 700 that had the bolt face opened a bit. I had 40 rounds left over from my last barrel and they shot great in the new barrel. I worked up a new hunting load with 127 Barnes...

    AR15 receiver/handguard choice for 6mmARC build

I used a Seekins upper with the integrated hand guard nut. it was much more solid than the upper I had used before. I used a proof barrel, but if I was going to do it again, I would go with Craddock precision. I use and H2, full mass carrier, and adjustable gas block.

    6 ARC and 6.5 Staball

Varget turned in decent results for me. Don't expect a lot of speed. I had pressure trouble when I got around 2600 in my proof 20" with 108eld. There seemed to be a speed node around 2530.

Night Vision What yardage do you zero your thermal

100 also with 6 ARC, but did the same when it was mounted on a 6.5 Creedmoor.

    6 ARC OR 22CM?

I built a 6 ARC about 2 years ago. Admittedly, not much of a gas gunner. But it took me a long time shooting it in matches off and on to get the bugs worked out to where I was comfortable with its performance. I would recommend if you run suppressed to have some type of "flow through"...

    Aimpoint Acro P-2

Does anyone know when these will come into stock? Aimpoint customer service was less than helpful.
