New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Ohhhhh get a '06. I have a t3x Lam and like it lots. It's in 308. Bad shoulder stops me from anything that kicks harder. Since all the Tikka actions are long you may as well get the longer 06 and get couple hundred foot pounds more energy.
Any magic juju oil or bore conditioner that will prevent rust in my Tikka t3x Compact .223 bore? Other than clean it soon after shooting it I don't have any clues what to do.
Farm/hunt/shtf all around rifle. I know some folks like a carbon action. Wondered why, stronger? Smoother? I have some ARs but to make a short story long I'm disabled and have multiple farms I want to hunt from the front seat of my car. So not wanting to have a AR up front where folks might get...
Looking at getting a Tikka t3x 223. Cant decide between the SS and the carbon steel compact. What do you like about carbon steel actions/barrels over SS if anytng? Thanks!
I have a older 1416 that tips the scales at 5.5 pounds. With a pretty quiet 23 inch barrel. The newer 64 actions seem thicker stocked and weighed in about 6 pounds. I"m a disabled guy in a wheelchair so weight is a issue for me. For the weight to accuracy nothing has matched my older slim...
Arggggggggh me WOA barrel I ordered on the 19th just walked the plank into the post office. Arggggh. Sorry I derailed the thread and didn't hurl any insults 20" threaded and fluted. Wilson blank (I guess) 1-8 twist. Me rifle fer them seagulls always a poopin' on me poop deck......Argggggggh
Ok I'm going to say something stupid, I think some of these places are cause by insects/spiders crawling into the bore and dying or whatever and the acid from their bodies causes even good SS to start to corrode.
I'm a small guy with Brittle bone disease and I shoot 308. Here is some of my free advice.
Since she already has a 308 look to lowering that rifles recoil first. Load 155 bergers with a moderate charge of powder.
Add weight to her rifle. 2 pounds makes a world of difference in felt recoil...
If your new to air guns the first one to get would be a Beeman R7/HW 30 in .177. It is a springer that is so much fun to shoot. Once you have one you can get others but that is such a great first air gun.
