Simple...do a chamber cast

Classic case of good smith getting so busy he forgets why he got so busy in the first place, sometimes he starts taking short cuts....if you pay 4k for a rifle it should have well defined even bolt lug contact....no matter how it shoots, its part of the recipe for building a custom gun......

Did you send him the action along with the bolt...

I have a Krieger with Franks match chamber, its the most accurate gas gun I have....

I find that the H-Series is much easier to clean up so maybe I should go back and give the other method another try. Never used the cerakote C- series, but seems the H series is no problem to clear out of my spray gun, no disassembly, just spray thinner until clear.....

I started doing gun finishing quite a few years ago....used Norrells moly resin, gun cote, ten rings stuff, all the brownells coatings, and some specialized stuff from Dupont.......I have used several spray guns but never put much thought into using a professional gun, I have in the past year...

How clean are your cases, if you tumbled them there might be some residue left on them ....

I have been reloading for 20 some years and have found that some primers are hotter than others no matter if they say magnum or not, I know that doesn't help much as far as saying you can use the same load, what I would do is reduce my load a bit and work it back up, you might find that it works...

Anyone heard of this 6.5x51 LPR, made by shortening the Swedish 6.5x55 chamber and reloading dies by .150 and then using 308 brass through the shortened die, apparently a few folks have used it for across the course matches with good results. 6.5X51 LPR

What I would do is smoke a sized case, or use machinist dykem blue on the case, carefully insert the case in the barrel and close the bolt, take it out and find where you are having fit problems by looking for places the dykem was rubbed off. I bought an AR barrel one time that the chamber was...
