Accuracy International Picture Thread

Zeroing at 102yds versus 100yds makes no difference at 300yds according to my 4DOF data (1.12 vs 1.12, not even a hundredth).
I never zero super well anyway and I haven’t seen the issues you described in the video, Imo you’re shooting at small targets and you’re going to miss a couple. You mention there was also shooter error, I took the video as presenting the zero issue as the primary reason for missing and the shooter error as a contributing factor, only you know what really went on that day.

Edited to add: I did watch the entire video and enjoyed it, always nice to see AIs getting some love with good production value. This post to try to help you on your journey, not rip on you, you should’ve seen the stuff I’d obsess over before I just started shooting more long range!

Pics for the pic thread, was experimenting with Norma 168gn .308 at my buddy’s farm, it did great

I like that pic, man. It’s like a tan landshark in the shallows…hunting…

and this is coming from a sage green aficionado

Here’s a better crop etc, I think

Don't do it
Honestly don’t understand this. I could be way out of the loop but I’ve had 4 barrels from Proof, 3 prefit and one chambered by Dave Tooley and all 4 of them hammered period. I didn’t see anything walk with long strings and long strings of fire is my middle name.

I’ve had 2 x 6.5CM, 1 308 and 1 6CM.

How does the SR balance with short steel barrels vs long carbon fiber barrels? It doesn’t have to be perfect but I do sometimes like to use just a bag on my tripod and it always helps if the rifle balances on the bag….obviously

Pic to keep it legal

Hey guys, has anyone converted an AXSR to 30moa top rail? I need some more height in my scope and was thinking that could be a way as I dont want to change my scope mount.
Seems like the hard way. How many MOA (he means Mils guys) is your scope mount? Those ERA ones went to like 60-70 or something stupid. To me 20 on the rail plus 20-40 on the mount should be more than enough.

It's more about height right now. I've got 40 mil of travel from my zero. But im beginning to see my suppressor in my scope.

Recently picked this bad boy up from a member on here... AT-XC, 26" WinTac 6BR - shoots lights out, but interesting to find the barrel has .050 more freebore than my MPA 6BR.

Added a few custom parts I found from members on here:
- Razor G3 turret spacer / "de-locker" from Superjet
- Straight trigger shoe from Plf338
- Sokek Solutions bag rider.

In case it helps anyone researching...
- No internal weights needed to balance
- MPA grip fits perfectly
- I needed 1.45"/1.5" rings to clear the front rail section with a 56mm objective - 1.25" won't cut it.

Congrats on an awesome shooting/looking rifle. Got any details on who did the cerakote work?

Thanks!

Seller said Alex at Kotes of Anarchy did the Cerakote in Desert Tiger Stripe. - looks like they are in Ft. Pierce, FL.. this is the highest quality Cerakote work I have felt on a non-factory rifle. I would definitely send one their way in the future.

Well, I leaned my AI against the counter and it slid to the floor.

And...

Rapid disassembly. Never seen this before.

Better to find out at home than when you are in a situation where you have to quickly transition from butt stroking an enemy cranium to shooting 2 MOA targets at 1,000 yards.

It literally just slid down the counter and hit the floor and the buttstock flew off. Nothing else happened.

Called Mile high. They are debating whether it is a fake hinge or not. Considering this rifle came from Brian Morgan through a guy I know I doubt it is a fake hinge.

If I ever want to debond my hinge assembly it’s nice to know I don’t need heat or special tools

I already have a counter.

I suppose being an AIAX owner that rifle must have landed on a floor made of marble or Brazilian Rosewood??

I feel my laminate would absorb the AIAT hit better

Only the best floor material.

Linoleum.
