If one had to choose:

Would you run a factory Glock #8 MOS plate;

Or the FDE one that came with the Vortex Defender ST?

Is there any known difference? Im assuming the Glock branded one would be within more of a "spec"

I’m partial to Forward Controls Design and Arise Manufacturing if purchasing an aftermarket plate for the Glock MOS. With the Defender XL, I opted to use the Vortex provided plate. Only about 4k rounds, but no issues to date.

If you decide to use the Glock MOS plate, I’d recommend using higher grade mounting screws.

I like that the Vortex included plate has the material remaining at the front and back, to eliminate the void caused by DPP mounting pattern.

I will look into the FCD plates, thank you. Likely mount this one, so I can go try it out today. Coming out of a Venom 6moa; so hoping for an upgrade.

No serrated edge extension though

I use the brand “DPP Titanium Adapter Plates”. It’s a brand that is on Amazon. The DPP doesn’t stand for delta point pro, it’s something else. They are amazing in my experience. I have them for various holosuns on my Glock MOSs.
