Most people just reload to control all aspects of accuracy and hand select components. Sounds like you're doing things the hard way for little to no benefit.
control all aspects of accuracy ?? humm .
do good lots, that is to say lots that are much closer to the same dimensions from one to another lot number ,do anything for you? just by chance I found two different lot numbers that are over 20 thousands different . Would I quibblo about 5 thousands difference or would I just show you's that these two lot numbers are only off by 5 thousands difference .

I can appreciate the fact that if nobody knows what you're doing they can't say you're doing it wrong. You say .020" but .020" of what? OAL? What about all the other influential variables like charge weight by tenths of a grain, neck tension, distance to lands, flash hole uniformity and so on. Hand loading my COAL is usually within .0015". Maybe it's just me but breaking down factory ammo to fine tune charge weight just doesn't seem worthwhile. Hornady 140 match had a SD of 11 in my gun and I can't imagine doing better by taking them apart before hand.

do you play left out...... i'm measuring a bullet, never said cartridge
 
So used hybrid 100V with Peterson virgin brass, Remington bench rest primer 7 1/2 seated to the lands with Sierra 140 BTHP gave me an average of 2720fps with 40.0gr and less than a half inch grouping.

Wow! Seems like 6.5 Creedmoor has lost some of the popularity it once had. No one has posted anything on this thread in the past 18 days.
Just an observation.
Well, lots of people are playing around with all these new magic chamberings and starting over. 6.5CM is pretty much figured out except for what is going to be barrel or gun specific. I bought my first 6.5CM about 2 months ago so I'm still working things up.

Hey all! I'm not new to reloading but new to the 6.5CM.

No chrono so I use OCW method for developing a round in two rifles, 24" Howa 1500 heavy barrel in a Trybe chassis and 1st gen Ruger Precision Rifle. Both sporting Vortex 5-25x56 scopes and Vortex precision rings. RPR is more comfortable to get behind but the Howa trigger is better hands down.

I run 3 shot groups in 0.2.- 0.3gr increments up to recommended max charge, find nodes and repeat with 0.1gr increments two below and above node. I have not messed with seating dept too much as projectiles I have used will not fit in mags with .002" bump. Groups measured with Ballistic-X app.

Starline new, CCI 250, 39.0gr N160, 140gr Barnes MB (max AICS mag length)
HOWA: 0.47 - 0.60 repeatable moa at 100 and 200
RPR: 0.51 - 0.83 repeatable moa at 100 and 200

Starline new, CCI 250, 40.3gr SW4350, 143 ELD-X (max AICS mag length)
HOWA: 0.51 - 0.57 very consistent moa at 200 (6x3rd groups)
RPR: untested
