25x47 Lapua load data

Varget did well in mine at 2770, H4350 at 2750 ish. 28in crb 7.5tw. My next tube will be a 7tw I think.

My 25gt runs really well with 34gr varget at 2700mv.
Should have added mine is a 7tw. 38gr 4350 started at 2650 and sped up to 2711 over 100-120 rounds. To say I did no load work up is an understatement. I will speed it up to 2750ish with 4350 and see what happens but man it’s hard to mess with a good thing, even if it is a little slow

The 25x47 is a very nice balance. That extra 50fps buys you nothing really, let the rifle tell you where it wants to be.

I placed very well with it in our local league this spring/summer. I was running a deadair ti XC with the recoilX brake and had no problems seeing what I needed. Rifle weight around 20# all up.

I have had good luck with 7.25 twists in both my 25GT and 25x47L. It keeps my SG above a 1.5 per Bergers calculator down to 0 degrees and 0'ASL at 2650fps.
7.25 sounds perfect, just not a lot of companies offering that without extended wait times. I wish Ace would start offering 25 cal, you can generally get whatever twist you want in less than 75 days.

2710 is where my x47 is very happy. The other day I was getting some weird SD’s like some 10 rd groups were literally 15-17 and others were 5-7 and I have no clue why. I grabbed a few new pieces of brass and it immediately went back down to 5 so I’m not sure what the hell is going on with the used brass. It’s only got 4 firings. Funny enough it’s the first time I used the SAC press was processing this used brass….

That’s livable. Was half expecting more but 2.2k isn’t the end of the world
I’ve gotten in the groove of pulling them at 2k. That way nothing funny happens at a match. I’ll still shoot them some or put the barrel on a buddy gun to dick around with at the range but that’s pretty much it.

Pretty serious competitor local to me has pulled a few 6.5x47 barrels low to mid 2k rounds because of funky shit happening. That chamber is supposed to last 4-5k rounds. The barrel life estimates you hear font factor in 10-12 rds sub 2 mins.

I decided to try the N555 in the 25x47. Amazing results. 135 Berger at .045 off lands shot best. 40.8 of N555 ran at 2812 with super low SDs. Last 10 shots were 2811.6 and SD of 1.6. I wish I could have run them all together but the Garmin does not let me continue a string. We turn it off between sessions due to heat, they will shut down. All strings I ran were under 5 for SDs over 60 rounds. I trued up my QL profile and 40.8 is 1.6 off max. I only went to 41.5 on the ladder as it was compressing. Group size was .27". We ran it all the way to 2k, shot fantastic all the way out.
