Well IMO prosecutors are lazy. A plea deal puts one in the win column quick and easy. No one wants to risk an OJ fluke. If he did manage to lose the case he is done in that job. And he can always blame it on the family not wanting to go through the trial and not wanting the death penalty applied.

In this case, I'm thinking the will of the public is outweighing the desires of the family. And they (public) will roast this prosecutor for not meeting their requirement for justice, as opposed to meeting the family's desires. After all, "murder" is considered a "crime against the State" not just the individual family victims. The state needs to secure justice for "The people..." not just the family.

Or if you live a billion years realtive to eternity, its less than a speck of dust. And this thing we call God is way beyond that. Perhaps the best description I've heard, other than God is Love, is:
