So one of the two chief deputies was screwing around. His wife found out and sent a treasure trove of emails to the agency showing her husband had hired another person to do coursework for the FBI academy for him. The investigation into that lead to the findings that several other command staff had used the same guy to cheat academically. In the case of Capt Rivera the 3rd party, Roush, did her captains project for her. Equivalent of hiring someone to write your doctoral thesis for you. She was also the commander over........Professional Standards lolol. Yes the commander over IA was caught cheating, and allowed to retire at the rank she obtained via fraud. Now 2 collonels and another captain have been caught up in the investigation.

The sheriff says his agency had the integrity to do the investigation themselves. What a joke.

But wait! Don’t they have something like this on their patrol vehicles?!

They can’t say it if it isn’t true!

How can this be a surprise for anyone? Cops work with criminals all day, every day. They know for 100% certainty that crime pays so they use crime for their own benefit.

The democrat running for New Jersey governor was cheating her way thru the Naval Academy and increased her net work 1000% in just six years in congress. He'll she got both her kids in the Naval Academy for free college.

This is minor by comparison and that bitch is going to win that election.

As will the Muzzie Goober running for Mayor of NYC. Folks have short memories when there's free shit on the table.

A lot of Fl Sheriffs are corrupted, my local area has one also and is connected to the Hillsborough Sheriff

I totally agree about the retirement. They should not receive retirement benefits until the investigation is concluded. They can not show up to work, but it should not end the investigation.
Imagine robbing a bank. When they catch you your reply is:
"I give up"
"OK put your hands up!"
"No Dawgs. I give up being a robber. I quit. I resign. "
"Awe damn. Congratulations bro on making it to the end"

This happened at SPPD many years ago with people getting fake Bachelors degrees for higher pay. I spent 10 years in LE. I respect the honest people with backbones. My experience is that there are very few. I stay far away from LE these days. I did have an enjoyable reunion with a pathetic jealous Sergeant about two years ago. He did everything he could to make things difficult for me. After being forced to retire due to line of duty injuries I went to Med School. Saw him in the ED and apparently he didn’t recognize my stature (I stand out in a crowd) he came up behind me wanting to know the results of something and wanting his prisoner fast tracked. When I turned around the look on his face was hilarious. I said “have a seat, I have other patients and I’ll get to you just as soon as I’m free”. He left the hospital moments later. That was satisfying.

They should lose their pensions, Florida has very specific reasons but they would have to be charged with a Felony and probably won't.

In Florida, a public employee can lose their pension for two main reasons: criminal conviction for a job-related felony and failing to meet specific vesting or re-employment rules
. Employees are always entitled to a refund of their personal contributions but forfeit the employer's contributions if certain rules are violated.

Forfeiture due to a felony conviction

The Florida Constitution mandates that any public officer or employee convicted of a felony involving a breach of public trust must forfeit their pension. State law specifies a list of offenses that fall under this category, resulting in the loss of all rights and benefits under the Florida Retirement System (FRS).

Specified offenses include:

  • Embezzlement or grand theft from a public employer.
  • Bribery related to employment.
  • Other felonies defined in Chapter 838 of Florida Statutes concerning misuse of public office.
  • Committing an impeachable offense (for elected officials).
  • Willfully committing a felony to defraud the public while using the powers of one's office for personal gain.
  • Certain sexual battery or lewd offenses committed by a public employee using their position.

I don't, R vs D means nothing and really never did, kind of like magic and the Wizard of OZ, plus the "Kings guard" must always have dominion over the citizens. Smoke and mirrors is what keeps it going. The "Sheriff of Nottingham" comes to mind. They wield immense power over the populace don't be fooled.
