Marjorie Taylor Greene To Introduce Legislation That Would Abolish The ATF

Hi,

How about we have a Politician that focuses their time, energy and OUR money on legislation that actually has a chance at amounting to something more than pandering?

Politicians (Both sides) are playing their market base like a set of drums; all while they accomplish NOTHING yet being cheered as if they conquered Rome.

Sincerely,
Theis

Even better how about they spend more time eliminating bullshit laws and regulations that do nothing more than muddy the water and make life more difficult for the average citizen and business owner.
And then start enforcing the useful laws.

They're never going to do any of that because they're too busy passing legislation that gets them donations and kickbacks that makes them rich.

Meanwhile nothing we ask for comes with a payday, unless you count the lifetime 160k + federal benefits they get after serving a single term, what would you spend your time on?

We haven't got a chance. Shits broken and needs an overhaul.

At this particular time, given the size of the US Code and US Code of Federal Regulations, do we need any more laws?

Or do we need to start trimming?

I completely disagree with the tax stamp but keep in mind that $200 number was set in 1934 and has not changed. There was chatter earlier this year to bump it up to $500 but I believe during Obama's second term there was a discussion of bumping the cost of the stamp up to today's inflation adjusted value. That would increase the cost of the stamp to a little over $4K. Do not be surprised it that conversation comes around again, unless suppressors are abolished.

Hi,

Would rather defund the Congress and the Senate............

Sincerely,

That's a hard call.

I can start by getting rid of the following departments completely: Energy, Education, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, Labor, Housing, Homeland Security, and Interior.

Severely trimming down the following: State, Commerce, Treasury, and Justice.

Consolidate all federal law enforcement into at most three agencies, and cut their budget 90%.

That's what I call a good start

I agree its not the $200 dollar stamp that bothers me either its the bureaucracy and ridiculously long wait time for an item that should an over the counter purchase.

Some of the guys i have worked with over the years from overseas lauphed at the process since they can just buy a suppresor over the counter and stated its considered kind of rude to show up to the range without one.

Term Limits. ...lets see how many "good people" would still want the job. they can no longer do nothing for the rest of their lives and get paid well for doing it.

Judas freakin priest seeing this for the 1 millionth time on this forum makes my head explode. " oh, ah I'll gladly pay the fee IF IF IF they thank you please approve of me." The freakin fee is just as much of an infringement as the wait, if not more so. No wonder they paint gun owners as a bunch of fudd knuckle-draggers.

You certainly didn't see the gays (the Spartans of pollical warfare) say that they would gladly pay a special $200 tax to exercise their rights. No, they said "STOP !!! You crossed the line way the hell back there!!! Back it the fuck up"......

And what have you done to change it ?
Absofuckinglutely nothing, its called fuck them and that and going your own way regardless of laws and regs wich seems to be the current path of this op.

Would you rather have Congress waste time on a Pro 2nd amendment issue or an Anti 2nd amendment issue?
I'd rather they had a big orgy and broadcast it as the new advertisement for Victoria Secret.

With how often I see peolple on here suggesting the ATF be abolished, I find it strange to see complaints of it being a waste of time to introduce legislation to do just that.
Yeah thats called implants, and mostly the rest of us that dont expect shit to happen that benifits the people that give a shit about meaningful change.
Seriously how often does the gov give up tax revenue?

think it's a great idea not that it will ever get passed but a great idea anyway . could always be happy with one less corrupt government agency . the Irs and the fbi then on to the entire federal government saving taxpayers trillions per year from fraudulent waist :giggle::giggle::giggle: .

call me a monkey, but IF (and that’s a BIG if-we all know it isnt going to happen), but eliminating the atf would do all of that.

if things are ever to get fixed in this country, a lot of the 3 letter orgs are going to have to be axed and congress and the president will have to start doing their actual jobs.

and as already stated, ASGH

Some may thinking that her bill to abolish the ATF is like Don Quixote tipping at windmills. However, she's got more guts that the RINO pussies that helped get the democrats where they are today.

Also think about this. There is a big ground swell for 2A sanctuaries; states and counties throughout the hinterland. I don't care what polls say about Americans' views on gun control. When 2A sanctuaries start popping up that indicates that people are pushing politicians to do something.

Polls only provide educated guesses about what people think. A politician's actions will tell you something else. That's not necessarily true in all cases but can be a better indicator than public opinion polls.

Instead of ridiculing her, we should be supporting her legislation. Does that mean that I think it will pass? Certainly not.

However, if enough people keep pestering the congress critters they may not necessarily support her legislation but may be fearful of introducing more gun control.

Think about why we've only seen executive action on gun control and not anything landing on creepy Joe's desk. It's because there are enough congress critters listening to their constituents to fear letting that sort of legislation becoming a reality.

I admire her for her guts just like Lauren Boebert. While the RINO pussies are too busy sucking up to their democrat overlords, it's women like these that actually want to fight for our rights.

but those same people can’t own an AR.

I like seeing these common sense, good for the people legislation. When they come up for vote, it shows the true colors of those who vote against. The US Congress is a gang of communists and cowards, for the most part.

Eliminating an agency does not make laws and regulations go away.

That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works.

ASGH

Anyone can bang a fucking machete and threaten to cut heads. A lot more difficult to actually accomplish it.

Remember how we needed a Repugnican house and senate so they could abolish that Obama care shit?
How did that pan out?
Did they welch on the deal?

The ATF, in and of itself, is not evil, they are just mis-utilized.. The ATF could be re-organized with the mission of assuring all Americans, regardless of race, creed or color, have unrestricted access to any and all the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives that they desire.

Its called gaslighting. Its planting the seed if you will. If it gains traction but gets ran over, they will reintroduce with some slight changes. Its how the left is winning, why shouldn’t we try it?
We give up because it doesn’t gain immediate approval by everyone, but if it seeps into the community and more and more people buy into it, it could amount to something, someday.

Thats a big no-shitter. HOWEVER….when you have an agency created to do the lawmaking that isnt directly accountable to the people, that isnt how it is supposed to work, either.

In fact, i call it unconstitutional.

True fact. Who knows if he would have done so well if he spent as much time at the stylist as Gowdy does. Gowdy is such a huge disappointment, especially after he took over for Nunes. He had me pretty well fooled. I should have looked more closely at the hair.
