    I do further load testing .005" at a time and 5 shot groups. out to at least 300 , I actually prefer up to 600 Yards. IMO - shooting 100 Yard groups is sometimes hard to tell what load really shines over the next. This method requires more loads , but for me thats part of the fun.

    I own a Rem 700 5R. in 308 that I have shot since 2012 and current best load is Lapua brass , 44.4 Grains Varget and 175 Grain SMK. I will get swipe just a few tenths about this charge. I recently bought a Ruger PR also in .308 and did some pressure testing up to 45.5 grains of Varget also...

    IMO - Reading pressure can be difficult

    My rifle is a REM 700 5R in 308. To make a long story short My brass is Lapua... NEW load of choice is Lapua scenar 155's OVER 44.2 grains of XBR8202.. (IMR book max is 45.2) I can shoot most pieces without a trace of ejector swipe or sticky bolt.. And then get swipe on the case head...

    I tried a buddies Sordins over the weekend.. They seemed nice and I was even able to hear 1000 Yard hits on 12x12" steel .. that had to be the best part. that and I can still have a conversation while everybody is shooting around me and am not afraid to get caught with my plugs out :) Kyle

    A bunch of us annually go to my hunt camp and shoot from a good elevation out to whatever distance we want.. prolly get about 3000 Yards.. .. But have only shot to 1200 Yards. See attached pics 1 snap is from 1200 yard balloon looking back to camp other is a couple of shooters and spotters...

    Everybody in their right mind uses a rangefinder.. The advantage of an Ffp in a hunting situation is that your reticle hold overs are the same no matter what magnification the scope is on !
