    Finally finished my bench. Input?

Looks great! You'll definitely want some more lights. I'm thinking the ones you have there might be right about eye-level and you may grow to hate them. The simplest thing would be some of those clamp-on lamps, but if you are able to build that bench then surely you can solder (or figure it...

    Traveling and reloading?

If you can find an old C-H H-type press like this one, it fits nicely in a 20mm ammo can along with some powder, scale, trickler, bullets, brass, etc. As long as the brass is already sized clamping isn't even necessary, it'll sit right on a table. I snagged this press for $40 in rough shape...

    Best way to prime?

If I have to squeeze that tight that brass gets tossed to the side, if the primer is partially seated I'll carefully remove it and check the primer pocket. If they're that tight I bet the pocket either still has some crimp in it or needs to be uniformed. I like the RCBS universal hand primer...

    New Budget SPR Build

Just wanted to show it off, I wanted my wife to have a rifle of her own so I've been collecting parts here and there to build each of us our first ARs, finally got this together. I also built myself one that's mostly the same but has a 20" bull barrel, same stock /grip/small parts though. Specs...

    New Sniper Magazine

True Cobracutter but they are fun to thumb through, and they just might make someone buy new gear, which I love since then I might buy their old gear Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

*Round 2 check it out* DIY Fiberglass AR-15 Free Float Tube

OK the holes on mine ended up a crooked, I will either open them up into slots (diagonal maybe) or just make another. I have the layout method down now, here's a hint- graph paper :-) This is the surprise rifle I've been putting together for my wife, we used to shoot 22s before we had kids but...

    My homemade security cabinet.

I might just have to run with this one for myself :-) Nice job man, for the future though make the box just shy of 14.5" so it'll fit between studs snugly, let the angle go out from there and recess it into the wall. Paint it gloss gray and yep- it's a breaker panel!

*Round 2 check it out* DIY Fiberglass AR-15 Free Float Tube

Thanks for the suggestions & compliments. I decided to add some vent holes, and I have the tube & barrel nut drilled for screws but will have to put it on hold for a week to finish it up. Until then, here she sits

    BisonTactical.com discount for Hide members

I'm curious here, as I sell FedEx services (I mostly deal with heavyweight freight but do use FedEx a good bit). When was it dropped off? If it was sent via Home Delivery (instead of Ground, both are technically Ground service though) then it'll deliver Saturday if it's available at the...

*Round 2 check it out* DIY Fiberglass AR-15 Free Float Tube

OK it's satin black for now, I used some VHT chassis paint, this will work while I put it through a torture test at least. I may add some vent holes, it's in the prototype stage :-)

*Round 2 check it out* DIY Fiberglass AR-15 Free Float Tube

That was my first thought but there's not much material between the gas tube holes, I guess I could use something like a #6. I'll revisit that today Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

*Round 2 check it out* DIY Fiberglass AR-15 Free Float Tube

This is my "junkyard dog" I have been cobbling together. I could have bought a tube from Clark's, but I have access to tubing like this so figured why not? I got a barrel nut from ATI, and I have made the tubing a tight slip fit over it. I'm thinking I'll secure it with rivets, through the tube...

Cannon 48 gun safe gun rack?

Who says the slots have to be semi-circles? I'd bet you own (or need) a drill. Which means you own or need a set of hole saws for it (harbor freight is just fine unless you're making a living with them). Draw it out first, but you might use something like a 1-1/2" hole saw, and center it say 2"...

Cannon 48 gun safe gun rack?

Surely someone does make something, you can google your heart out over it. It'll never be just right for YOU though. Grab a jigsaw, some plywood (you can get 24x48" pieces at lowes/home depot if you don't want to wrestle a whole sheet), some carpet and 3m aerosol adhesive to stick it on (if you...
