    English Bulldog ?'s

Re: English Bulldog ?'s They are great dogs. We are on our second. They don't require a ton of exercise, they will actually tire bit after a short walk, espacilly when it's warm. They are good for short "explosive" bursts of energy though, and do like to play. They don't like overly hot...

    What are your other hobbies?

Re: What are your other hobbies? Rubicon Trail in 2009. Don't really do much 4 wheeling any more. The CJ is just fun to drive around in the summer with no top or doors. Pretty much stick to shooting now. Although cooking/grilling/smoking beast has developed into kind of a hobby I guess.

Breaking in a new AR...Need AMMO

Re: Breaking in a new AR...Need AMMO Black Hills Blue Box. Can't go wrong in an AR. Price and accuracy. I've shot HSM as well, but not for several years. It was good stuff as I recall. Probably more expensive than BH, if you're on a budget.

Movie Theater Worst Movie you ever saw

Re: Worst Movie you ever saw Mr. Bean. However many years ago that was. Took the kids to see it since it was supposed to be this great, funny movie. Even they wanted to walk out of the theater when we finally decide to bail. Dad... can we go, this is stupid!, LOL.

Hit me with your best bloody mary recipe

Re: Hit me with your best bloody mary recipe Once you get that bloody mary mixed up, don't forget the beer chaser! Don't see that much anymore. I also like to add a dill pickle spear to the mary, along with an olive or two.

90 gr berger .224 load with varget?

Re: 90 gr berger .224 load with varget? The 7.7 twist is too slow, IMHO. I ran the 90 JLKs when they came out, and used a 6.5 twist barrell. In fact, that was the reccomendation by JLK. VLDs are picky to begin with and a super heavy 223 VLD will be more so. That said, I assume the Berger...

.223 rem. bullet seating depth and lands question

Re: .223 rem. bullet seating depth and lands question No one has mentioned the bullet being used. Brand or weight. I've found that sierras (80s) tend to tolerate varying amounts of jump and are not really picky. While VLDs will tend to be the finicky ones. Some JKLs that I have used want...

What a poor student can do...

Re: What a poor student can do... Nice. I've put lots of things together from "used" stuff. Most of the time, especially in this game, used means something that someone is upgrading from, got tired of, or just couldn't afford to keep anymore. I've never bouoght anything used off the hide...

    Rifle Scopes sighting in scope

Re: sighting in scope Take a few extra minutes to carefully bore sight at 25 yards before putting that first round through it. I just bore sighted my 5-25 Premier last week. It was dead on at 25. I then took it to 100 and the first round was about 3 inches high. And I did it all at 25x.
