    Throat erosion in 30-06 experiences?

    What's considered normal throat erosion in a 30-06? I just took a measurement with my Stoney point gauge and found that after 520 rounds the throat had progressed .06-.065" since when new. I'm using mostly 180 gr accubonds loaded with 60.5 gr RL 22 and 168 SMK with 49.5 gr of Varget. Both are...

    Re: Hornady headspace gauges? I don't have a set of go no go gauges. S&S precision in Dallas cut the chamber and I asked it be at SAAMI mins so I could seat close to the lands and still have OAL's that would fit in my magazine. I'll have to see if I can borrow one and try it out.
