What's considered normal throat erosion in a 30-06? I just took a measurement with my Stoney point gauge and found that after 520 rounds the throat had progressed .06-.065" since when new. I'm using mostly 180 gr accubonds loaded with 60.5 gr RL 22 and 168 SMK with 49.5 gr of Varget. Both are around 2800fps. Is this normal throat wear for a Kreiger Remington Varmit 24" barrel?
