1st day out with the 338 BA 110
Re: 1st day out with the 338 BA 110 I had 10 rounds of the 300 SMK's, loaded with 90.5 of H1000. They shot well at 100,and about 1.65 moa at 500. Didn't have very many to play with, so can't be sure about the results, but gonna load some up like you are saying, starting at 89.5 and going up...- hrwilliams22

Re: 1st day out with the 338 BA 110 Nice Diego, that's about the same grouping I was getting w/ factory Hornady 250 gr. Got it down to 3" @ 500 yds w/ handloads though. Gonna go to 800 next week w/ those loads and see how it does.- hrwilliams22

Re: Savage 110 BA .338 Lapua question I agree, recoil is about like a .270. More of a 'push' really. Some of the heavier loads I shot had a little more punch, but nothing unmanageable. One could easily send 100+ rounds/day downrange without adverse effects. And unless you want to spends...- hrwilliams22

Tried 4 different rounds through it to get an idea of what it liked (300 SMK & another 300 (cant remember the brand), a 265, and a 250 SMK. It definately liked the 250 the best, i put a 3" 500 yd 3 shot...- hrwilliams22

Re: Savage 110 BA .338 Lapua question One of my hunters loaded me up some different rounds this weekend, and it definately liked the 250 gr SMK the best. I shot a 3" 3 shot group at 500 yds, and am happy with that. We still have a lot of testing to do on different loads, just not enough time...- hrwilliams22

Savage 110 BA .338 Lapua question
I got my Savage 110 BA chambered in .338 Lapua about a week ago and mounted a Sightron 4-16x56mm on it. Since then I've put about 40 rounds through it. With factory Hornady 250 gr match ammo, I was able to make mostly sub-moa groups at 200-500 yds (with proper break-in procedures, of course)...- hrwilliams22

Re: My new Bad A$$ 110 Took mine out today too, range I was on had 300 yd max. Only took 5 shots... 2 moa, 300 gr. not yet stabilized. Had better luck on shorter ranges with 250's. Make sure all your hex screws are tight too, some of mine were loose after only 25 rds through it- hrwilliams22
