    Re: Want to get a AR style 308 and have some questions If its just deers your after why not go with a 243 or 260? Its a bit flatter shooting than the 308. You can get either in the AR10 platform.

    Re: Argh, My Eyes!! I have contacts too. Try shooting with both eyes open if your not. It gives you just a bit longer to focus.

    Re: Just starting out! Need Advise! just shoot it i would recommend you read a few reloading books and get a starting kit. It did few run throughs with the kit before i reloaded my first rounds.

    Re: 308 700P lands update i broke down and bought a hornady lock-n-load OAL gauge with there modified 308 win case and came up with 2.327 OAL (o-give) sounds a lot closer to the above posts. the hornady lock-n-load OAL gauge made it extremely easy. PS this is for the 175 grain berger VLD...

    Re: 308 700P lands also FYI i was measuring the COAL ( not the O-Give) for the new reloaders. i suspect my measurements are right. the berger o-give is not the same as a SMK.

    Just wanted to know if 2.939 sounds about right to get to the lands. I used a piece of fire formed brass with slits cut in the neck and inserted it into the rifle. The bullet I used was a 175gr Berger VLD (target). Does this sound about right? Thanks, Jake PS I measured twice and they both...

    Re: Falcon Menace + burris pepr = no go I think I'm just gunna go with the xtreme tactical rings. It was close tho. I thought about filing it down but didn't want to mess the mount up. I live in a small area so I can't have some one work on it unless I drive a hour away.
