    Odd caliber AR10?

My old rig when it was a 6 SLR. It shot phenomenally, but losing brass was a pain. When it was shot out I rebarreled it in 6.5 CM, then sold that barrel and am going to make it a 6 CM when I get some time.

    Rifle Scopes NX8 1-8 issues

That's an odd one. How do you like it overall? Mine is mounted but I haven't shot it yet.

    Frog Lube blahed my gun

That’s just horrible, I can’t imagine intentionally putting gear oil on something I’d be handling. Lube is cheap, find something less stanky!

Gunsmithing 308 bolt action pistol sub/reduced load twist rate.

With the arrival of the .300 Blackout, the popularity of the subsonic and reduced power .308 Win has almost disappeared. It used to be discussed a lot, but I haven’t played with it or seen anyone else doing it in quite a while. Liberty used to make reduced capacity brass to alleviate the low...

    Suppressors Over a year

I'm handling the transfer on one that has been over a year. Contacted the ATF, and they have no record of it at all. He has to start the process all over again.

    Gunsmithing Ruger Precision replacement barrel

I was being facetious, I know how it’s done. I spend a lot of hours in front of a Haas ST40 and a couple others. My parts come out round though.

    Gunsmithing Ruger Precision replacement barrel

I’m more interested in how they turned an egg shaped contour with a lathe. That takes talent.

New ruger RPR gen2, parts missing

I'm curious, where was the screw located?

Rifle Scopes SWFA Fixed 10 Power or 20 Power

I’ve had a number of 10’s, 12,s, and 16’s. I think 12x is the sweet spot for those scopes, I no longer own the 16’s.

    Badger Ordnance M2013

The bolt lift is stiffer than a 2 lug, but not enough that I notice it in use. Mine is Ionbonded, it’s slick. I’ve been planning a .300WM build at some point, I’ll most likely use a LA version for it.

Beat the Valkyrie to death thread!

Seems to be working- first place Open in a team match were both running Valkyries, first place team in Tactical are having Valkyries built. Smallish match, but some good shooters.

so... is the 224 Valkyrie worth it?

White Oak. I've been using them for years on my builds with 22+" barrels and 6.5 or smaller bores.

    Accuracy and Upper Receivers.

@Blazin an easy test is to put a laser boresighter in the barrel, and watch the dot through your scope while loading your bipod. If the receiver is flexing, you will see the dot wander. I use Aero sets in most of my builds, I feel it helps. I've also used Seekins and Mega with similar success.

so... is the 224 Valkyrie worth it?

These are 22" with +2 gas and 15" handguard. They have .750 gas blocks and a Remington varmint contour behind the gas block. I think they balance out pretty well.

    Will do.

    224 V and 77SMK

22" +2, Bartlein blank gets 2715 with a factory 90 SMK. I'm about to spin one up at 26" +3 on a Krieger for a member here just to see what he can get out of it.

so... is the 224 Valkyrie worth it?

We shot them in a local match a couple weeks ago, out of 72 shooters we took first and second. So far it's working well, just understand it's not a Creedmoor. For time based targets under 600 it is hard to beat, and has the capability to do 1000+ out of a small frame AR. What's not to like?
  18. Red_SC

What would you do in this situation?

I don't know what all you have being done, but there are a lot of hours of labor in most rifle builds. Measure and document the action, indicate the barrel into the lathe, cut/thread/time/chamber, turn it around and indicate it in again, thread and time, install, prep the stock inlet, bedding...

Gunsmithing Remage out of a factory rem barrel?

Flyer, the Flyer, the remaining barrel shank will still need to be turned down to the major diameter of the thread before the thread die can cut the thread, if I'm understanding your intent.

KMW SENTINEL stock - thoughts ?

    I like them.
