Need some help on choosing light weight stock please
I just bought a EH1 off a member and simply love it...I dropped an SPS 16.5" into it so it's not exactly the same type of build,but none the less... A chum of mine has an SPS 20" fitted to a Game Scout,and comparing the two,the Manners stock fixes everything I disliked about the Game...- brwn bggr

Remington 700 Recall on X-Mark Pro Triggers
I received an email stating the return box was on the way to me...I replied to save the box,I had already replaced the trigger...they informed me to just return the faulty trigger for repair or replacement...of course,the big box still showed up...I just taped the trigger and contact information...- brwn bggr

Gunsmithing Float lightweight barrel vs. pressure point.
It's been my experience that a pressure point bedding tends to group better as stated above,but its temperamental over the long haul...BUT not always... Like mentioned,try it before free floating...unfortunately,that's not the whole story...even though it may not shoot now,and I don't think it...- brwn bggr

Gunsmithing Cutting internal ACME threads?
It does sound like a clearance Is the 4130 anealed... If you've been "rubbing" without clearance for too long,you may have a hard time cleaning it up... Silly question here,but have you confirmed you tool is not moving...?- brwn bggr

No pictures for you... But yes,years ago I machined up one for a 6.5 Swede... I was pleased with the out come but time involved was excessive... You have everything you need to take datum points off of,that's the hard part,then it just takes time...much less time would be required to patch and...- brwn bggr

Another vote for the .308 here...especially if you don't hand load...nothing out there gives you the available options on ammo choices..if you can't find a factory load that shoots,you've got a pos barrel...you don't need it to put holes in things out to 400,but it's much more flexible than the...- brwn bggr

A good looking stock it is... But it's a good chunk of change to drop IMO... You might want to spend a little time petting one before you make the pludge... Little subtleties can make a stock a keeper or a down the roader...- brwn bggr

Flash hider question
I have a 700 SPS.16.5" ...I have no intention of putting a can on it but the factory thread protector does little to protect the muzzle/crown...Nor do I wish to put up with the added blast of a brake...that leaves me to find an extended thread protector or to use a flash suppressor...
