Where the lands are is a moving target, therefore I'm not overly concerned with where they are. I start at magazine length and work my way shorter until I find a node. sharing rifles in competitions
I shared a rifle with my spouse once. Unfortunately, many times we had to shoot back to back with her shooting ahead of me. By the time I got to shoot, the barrel was HOT and wasn't shooting so well. Other than that, no problem in my experience.- tylerw02

Remington 700 Varmint SF build
Having been down the road before, I'd say put it in a non-flimsy stock, if baseline accuracy is below a minute after that, shoot it until the barrel is toast. No reason to pull it off just to work things over. Spend your money shooting rather than upgrading what isn't broken.- tylerw02
