I have a 700P that shoots very well. It would be a shame to inhibit yourself with cheap glass. I bought a used Mark4 FFP here in the classifieds pretty cheap. I would at least hold out for a Vortex or a used Leupold.
Are there any quality alternatives to Eberlestock? The Eberlestocks are a quality bag but they have to many pockets and flaps for my taste. I prefer a pack to a drag bag but would like something less engineered.

Cammenga compasses are tanks. I prefer the phosphorous for night navigation. The tritium is too bright for me. Either way you will have a very nice compass.
