    Range Report Twist vs Stabilizaton

I am considering moving to a 208 or 210 bullet in my .300WM. The barrel is a RC 11.25 and it hammers 190's. Will the 11.25 twist rate stabilize the 208-210 class bullets? I generally shoot from 850-1000. The only reason to move up is obviously for B/C and all round better exterior ballistics. I...

    sanity check on 260rem/120amax

I would not worry about the velocity, only pressure issues. By the burn rate chart I thought your charge weight was kind of HIGH. the Alliant site only recommends 40 grains of 2000MR with a 120 class bullet. If you have a book with your data in it it may be ok, but I have a feeling you are too...

    Vortex Diamondback spotter

Primary use will be calling shots on paper and steel. Hunting where I do is limited on range, unless I'm on a road.

    Carbon Solvent question

Carb-Out made by the folks that make Wipe-Out works very well. It has a semi strong odor to it and is rough on wooden stock finihes, but it does work well.

Gunsmithing Lathe Damage, worth Concern or No?

I am no where near as experienced as most smiths on this or any other site, but I do own some precision equipment. I would send that thing back and call the CC company for a charge back as most have said here. You paid hard earned money for NEW undamaged equipment PERIOD.

    300 WM loose primer pocket

I shoot that powder with 190's as well, but at 66.0 grains getting 3025 fps. The velocity is right as I used two chrono's and both read the same. I am on my seventh firing with WW cases. I'm gonna haul off and say your loads to hot for the brass and you likely have more loose pockets than you...

260 with Lapua Brass, H4831sc and Berger Hybrid 140's -- Anyone??

I could not get the Bergers to shoot for me. I went with 142 SMK's. With h4831SC velocity was a tad slow, but overall the rifle shot well. I have never been able to get the velocities with 140's others have achieved so I moved on.

    260 Rem in hunting applications?

I run 123 AMAX out of my .260. It is a deer hammer. Out of ten kills only two moved more than 6 ft. Send a P.M and I'll give you my data if you want it.

    Range Report .260 vs .300WM????

I also shoot both. I have made good solid hits to 950 with my .260, but energy is lacking, splash is hard to see, but it shoots well. My .300 is a hammer with 190's and 208's. I shoot that just as often and at the same distances. I shoot both often. The .260 is cheaper to shoot. Both have their...

    Chassis for Remington 700

Robo1 & coach4christ, I have asked myself the same question "why" as the rifle is a hammer now. I guess I am like others on here and other places, I just can't leave well enuff alone! I am not 100% sold on the chassis system. Thanks for your responses.

    Chassis for Remington 700

I am considering switching my 300 WM to a chassis from a McMillian stock. I know nothing about a chassis system in terms of what is excellent, good or not worth having. Can some of you that run a chassis give me a run down on them and what I should look for? Expense will play a role to some...

210 Sierra Mk VS Berger 210's

Yep, I just can't see why they are so much higher than the Bergers. It is what it is, but my gun loves them. I shot them out to 850 and they were dead nuts on and easy to tune too.

210 Sierra Mk VS Berger 210's

Wildboarem, Sierra's in general are not overly expensive except when you get to the 210 MK which is considered a L/R specialty bullet, then the price goes up substantially. even at the 500 round price the 210 Sierra is 20-25 bucks more. The 50 round boxes are 38 and up in some places. I reckon...

210 Sierra Mk VS Berger 210's

I recently shot some Sierra 210 MK's that absolutely rocked out of my 300 Win. But, the cost of that bullet is prohibitive when it comes to shooting 3-4 hours at a time. How difficult is it to get the 210 Bergers to shoot? I am not overly familiar with that bullet as I have always shot Sierras...
