    Wow, check this out..

Re: Wow, check this out.. That is some shockingly awesome craftsmanship. However, it makes me cry that it sometimes seems that the human race only has a handful of people capable of making their own food let alone something like that work of art.

    Temp Sensitivy Question

This might be a really dumb question. If so I appologize. I searched and didn't see anything. When a powder changes due to temp sensitivity, is it due to the actual temperature of the powder or the temperature of the ambient air? In other words, can I negate the effects of temp sensitivity by...

    338LM Build Questions

Re: 338LM Build Questions In my opinion, if you're planning to pick your 338LM rifle off the bench and/or put a can on it...you must have a Desert Tactical Stealth Recon Scout. http://www.deserttacticalarms.com/ I have one and it's as accurate and has as good of a trigger as any of my...

Picking a new 338 LM powder

Re: Picking a new 338 LM powder There's tons of 19, 22 and 25 at my local shop and the entire Hodgdon shelf looks like it got robbed. So I'll grab some 25 and see if I can get a decent group with 3000+ fps and I'd be happy. If I can't, then I'll try the 22.

Picking a new 338 LM powder

I was going to work up a new 338 Lapua Magnum load using 250gr bullets and H4831SC as that was one of the most popular powders I've seen people using. However, I've been to all the local shops and no one has any. They do however have tons of Reloader powder. I see in the reloading thread that...

    .243 Win

Re: .243 Win I had a Sierra GK 85 grain with 44.2g of H4350 set at 2.61 OAL that is very accurate in my Browning XBolt and chronoed at 3070 but I can't get 4350 any more so I'm working up some loads with Nosler 95gr BTs and RL-19. I think it's going to end up somewhere around 45.3 grains.

Which Reloader Powder for 338 LM?

I had a pretty decent 338 Lapua Mag load using Hodgdon Retumbo and 300gr Sierra MKs. However, Retumbo along with a lot of Hodgdon powder has about dried up in the area. My local shop has tons of Alliant Reloader powders available. I see that RL-25 has a similar slow burn rate to Retumbo and...

    Too many trees...

Re: Too many trees... LOL at the chainsaw. Maybe I have to buy myself a few hundred acres first. :-) Someone else mentioned http://www.pemi.org/ was planning for a 1000 yard range. I contacted them and they are still quite a ways from being complete if they ever finish it at all. For the...

    Too many trees...

I belong to a range that has a 500 yard line, which is great fun to shoot. I'm really interested in trying 1000 yards but there just isn't any place I can find. 600 yards is the longest range in the state. Up here in New Hampshire, there's just way too many trees :-) I've asked around some...

    CNC Bullets

Re: CNC Bullets Cool thanks for the responses. Just thought I'd ask. I guess I was drinking too much KoolAid from the CNC manufacturer's web site. Going to try the Berger VLDs or maybe just stick with the Nosler 95g BTs that I'm using.

    CNC Bullets

What's the general opinion on CNC bullets? I hit the bottom of the powder I was using for my 243 Win hunting rifle and can't find any more so I'm looking to work up a new load. I've been shopping bullets and powders and wondered if I should give CNC bullets a try. I don't shoot a lot of 243...

    338 LM with Retumbo

Re: 338 LM with Retumbo Update...after this weekend's shoot It turned out to be seating. Same results with the 3.68 seating. The 3.68 seating would put like 3 touching then 2 others touching but off 3/4-1" off. The 3.74 seating (.02 off the lands) was perfect. Best group was .388 MOA...
