Case Prep Center vs drill press with attachments

The "Reloading 101" thread recommends getting a drill press and various accessories. We have a floor drill press but it will be nowhere near my reloading area. My experience with that drill press is not extremely good. My main complaint with it is that I cannot control the speed very easily...

    Scott Parker contact information

I just sent him another email as a followup to an order I had made and it did not bounce using the vld223 (no spaces) address. My understanding is that capitalization does not matter in email addresses, but for what it's worth, I used all lowercase letters.

    Scott Parker contact information

Did you intentionally insert the space in the VLD223 address? That's the address I used except I did not have a space between the 3 and the @.

Reloading tools: Dial vs Vernier calipers

I'm the type of guy that over-analyzes every purchase so I've been researching calipers as I'm getting in to re-loading. First of all, I've read all the threads that said the Harbor Freight calipers work fine and actually met standards for businesses that were striving to meet certain ISO...

After reading the rest of the thread, I see that I shouldn't expect an answer for awhile.

    Trying to understand runout...

I wish you were closer. I would love to attend a class like that. What does that sort of thing cost? I wonder how I would find out about such a thing that's closer to me?

Extreme Newbie question: Where to get starting data

Thank you very much. So if I'm understanding you correctly, bullet manufacturers provide information for how their bullets work with most reasonable powders rather than powder manufacturers providing information for how their powders work with every bullet. That would make sense.

Extreme Newbie question: Where to get starting data

I bought this gun: http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/firearms-sale/162615-custom-rem-700-7mm-rsaum-*spf.html I will be getting my feet wet on reloading with it. Currently reading all the stickies and the ABC's of reloading. I would imagine as I work my way through all that, these...

Accidental double post and I don't know how to delete it.

Please critique my process for getting in to reloading

Thanks for your thoughts on the dies. This is by far the most confusing part to me right now since I've never seen any reloading done for rifles. I'm starting to watch youtube videos just to get a rough idea of what goes on, but what I've seen so far does not cover resizing the brass, it just...

Please critique my process for getting in to reloading

Thanks. What does 0311/13 mean? I'm planning on purchasing a hand priming tool like you say. I just didn't have time to get that far in creating my list. Thanks for the tip on the die wax. I wouldn't have thought of that.

Please critique my process for getting in to reloading

It looks like there is a wealth of information on this portion of the forums about getting started on reloading. There is so much information it's hard for me to know which way to turn. I thought I might post my plan here for a critique to see if I'm going to be wasting time/money anywhere...

Rifle Scopes Vortex customer service thumbs up

I bought a used Vortex Viper PST 4-16 x 50 FFP scope on another forum. When I received it I found the the ring marks on the tube were actually indentations. The tube was literally bent in due to improper mounting. I called Vortex and they suggested that I either send it to them for analysis or...

Rifle Scopes Looks like USO has changed model names?

I suppose everyone knows this but I glanced through the forum and didn't see any posts on it. Are they simply changing the names or have the scopes changed as well. I'd mostly be interested in the SN3 3.2-17 vs the LR-17. Thanks.

Rifle Scopes Ring height questions (I did read sticky)

I've read the ring height sticky and I'm trying to use it to select the correct rings for my scope and base. I have a Rem 700 in .25-06 and I purchased a NightForce 2-piece 20 MOA base for it. I'm going to mount a Vortex Viper PST 4-16 x 50 FFP to it. The ring height sticky says height of base...

Gunsmithing Source a short Anschutz rail?

Re: Source a short Anschutz rail? Thanks Aries64. I'm confident that it's pictures of your rifle that I found elsewhere on snipershide that made me want an Anschutz rail in the first place. Looks great.

Re: SMOA/IPHY vs MOA USO's PC MOA reticle is IPHY.

    Rifle Scopes SMOA/IPHY vs MOA

In my searching on this forum I've seen lots of threads about MIL/MIL vs MOA/MOA and I've seen descriptions of MOA vs SMOA or IPHY but I really haven't seen any MOA/MOA vs SMOA/SMOA threads. I feel like because of my reading I pretty clearly understand the differences between the three. Based...

Rifle Scopes Windage and Parallax Adjustment: Which side?

Re: Windage and Parallax Adjustment: Which side? Alright, that makes sense. I appreciate your replies.
