Rifle Scopes Aimpoint CompML3 DO I have a problem??

Re: Aimpoint CompML3 DO I have a problem?? I have never noticed it until this thread came up. It still isn't anything I am worried about. Ericf sounds like his might be more noticeable. I notice it the most when viewing through the sight into the house (darker background) with my back to...

Rifle Scopes Aimpoint CompML3 DO I have a problem??

Re: Aimpoint CompML3 DO I have a problem?? My ML3 does the same as your picture. The T1 does the same thing as well only the red line/area is in a different spot. It really is a reflection and it is most noticeable with a strong backlight and when looking through the sight at an odd...

Rifle Scopes Aimpoint CompML3 DO I have a problem??

Re: Aimpoint CompML3 DO I have a problem?? You got me curious on this one so I had to check... I have an ML3 and it does the same thing. There isn't anything wrong with it as far as I can tell. It shows up or disappears depending on the backlighting and the viewing angle. I can tilt the...

    Exercise Bikes

Re: Exercise Bikes Terror hit it spot on. Decent stationary bikes are expensive and they are still pretty crappy. They never fit correctly, the seats are horrible, and they just don't feel right. They also take up a fair amount of space and they aren't easily moved around. You can get a good...

    B&C Medallist Stocks Question

Re: B&C Medallist Stocks Question The comb on the A2 is higher than the A3 by about a 1/2" or so. The A2 is also heavier but not by a huge chunk. Stockys list the A2 at 3lbs and I saw the A3 listed at 2lbs 9ozs somewhere. I have/had both and the weight between the two wasn't very...

    Possum Hollow?

Re: Possum Hollow? I have the Possum Hollow trimmers for 308,223, and 30-06 and all have worked pretty well. The 308 did leave chatter marks if I used it by hand but in a drill or with the drill press the marks went away. As someone stated above, you do need to have the shoulders bumped to...

Rifle Scopes Super-Low ring choices available?

Re: Super-Low ring choices available? SWFA carries the TPS rings. You may want give them a call to check on availability. Badger standard height rings are .823 also. I know they aren't less than $100 but you could possibly find a set of used ones in that ballpark.

Rifle Scopes $400 red dot choice?

Re: $400 red dot choice? With the benefit of hindsight I would recommend the Aimpoint on this one. I went down the same road you are on a got a cheap(er) red-dot sight the first go round. I quickly grew tired of it cutting off from recoil and got rid of it. I then ponied up for the ML3 and...

    Do I need a muzzle-break?

Re: Do I need a muzzle-brake? I use an AAC brake on a 20" 308 and while it does reduce the recoil the noise/blast is obnoxious to me. You better have plugs and ear muffs on. With a suppressor it isn't an issue, but without a can I would rather deal with recoil over the noise from the brake.

Where is the best place to buy a custom action?

Re: Where is the best place to buy a custom action? http://www.bugholes.com/actions.php Bugholes has the Stiller actions. He is a member here. He may have them listed in the commercial section as well. While I have not purchased a action from him, he did rebarrel a 700 for me last year and...

    MidwayUSA Pro Series shooting mat

Re: MidwayUSA Pro Series shooting mat I picked one up in December when they were marked way down. Shipping was a bit of a bummer but they are still pretty nice for what you pay. I have been pretty happy with mine. Used it this weekend in a soggy pasture and it didn't soak through. It seems...

Suppressors GA considers allowing hunting with suppressors

Re: GA considers allowing hunting with suppressors As Mike308bell stated, the bill has now passed the Senate committee and will go before the full Senate for a vote. If it passes there it will move on to the House. It would be nice if it passes.

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite 6-24x50 turret allen wrench size?

Re: Bushnell Elite 6-24x50 turret allen wrench size? It is SAE not metric and a 3/32 allen wrench is what you will need.

Rifle Scopes Does Viper PST have "PST" markings?

Re: Does Viper PST have "PST" markings? I have the 6-24 PST and it does not actually say "PST" anywhere on it. The objective bell has Vortex Viper 6-24x50 as does the turret. From the pics above it looks like what I have. The illumination and knobs are the same.

    Rifle Scopes Bushnell 3200 10X mil/mil

Re: Bushnell 3200 10X mil/mil I have had one for years and it has held up so far. It has been on .223 and .308 bolt guns and an AR at one point or another. The glass is adequate and adjustments have stayed true. For the price it is a very decent optic. It also has plenty of internal...

    DNZ Ring Questions

Re: DNZ Ring Questions I have the DNZ mount on a 700 LA and it is a well built, lightweight, and so far, durable mount. For a hunting rifle it is good option. As others have stated, it has allen head screws.

    Inch/Pound Torque Wrench

Re: Inch/Pound Torque Wrench I have the Park Beam style wrenches and use them for action screws and installing rings to the bases. For those purposes they have done pretty well. They are no doubt not as nice as the Borka but I already had them on hand from working on bicycles. Borka is next...
