Remington 700 Police 338 Lapua rifles

Re: Remington 700 Police 338 Lapua rifles HOLY CRAP... I just read thru the posts. I agree with the experts... send the target back with the rifle and tell them to fix it. I bought a new Savage 110 BA and it shot 1-1/2" groups at 200 yds with the first 20 rounds thru it. Dannng. that sucks...

The Savage 110 BA rifle report

Re: The Savage 110 BA rifle report took the rifle out today and braved the 37 degree foggy conditions to poke some holes in 1/2" steel plate @ 200 yds and some paper too. Thought everyone would like to see carnage. LoL

Re: Introducing "Shooter", ballistics for Android! HEY Sean; Are you ever going to be able to lock the name bar at the top of the data screen? I've been using your program now for months and ev ery update I keep expecting it to be locked when I scroll down. I know you said you were...

The Savage 110 BA rifle report

Re: The Savage 110 BA rifle report Shankster... Although you probably already know this I figured I'd show the page out of the Nightforce handbook on reticles and correct the remark where you said something like the scope neede to be on the highest power (<span style="font-style...

Re: The Savage 110 BA rifle report well then, perhaps one of the mods could be so kind as to move it all up there for us. And,,, thanks up front for doing so.

Range Report Interesting 308 range results

Re: Interesting 308 range results ok, this might be weird too. Take a look at this target I shot day before yesterday. 100 yds. first shots of the day, factory ammo and notice the pattern. first shots were exactly like yours. Now what? I was off a bi-pod located on a bench, (ground was muddy...

The Savage 110 BA rifle report

Re: The Savage 110 BA rifle report here's a pic of the range, obviously a little water to contend with. Also here's a target or two to take a gander at. It's a little too soon to see how well this rifle will shoot but it looks promising to me.

The Savage 110 BA rifle report

Re: The Savage 110 BA rifle report Thanks shankster for the links. Good info for sure. Just because the scope has 42X on it at the top end don't mean it has to stay there, so for the most part, if I want to use it for a spotting scope in the field I can crank it up, then back off to whatever...

    308 or 260 for tacticalrifle

Re: 308 or 260 for tacticalrifle If this for PD urban use mostly, would you really be interested in flat shooting with knockdown power at 500+ yds? Would't you be more interested in a multi-ammo (meaning various loads and bullet weights and styles) low velocity, high power stick? Or... if...

The Savage 110 BA rifle report

Re: The Savage 110 BA rifle report you know, i thought that too but it's brand new, I haven't shot a single bullet thru it and wondered about the wear pattern but the bore is spotless. So... you're guess is as good as mine. Maybe it's just a cheap dip that Savage does on their steel.

Exploding Bullets Caused Bomb Scare at Miami Air

Re: Exploding Bullets Caused Bomb Scare at Miami Air I agree 100%, there's a lot more than what we're being told here. Of course we ARE talking about the liberal media so what exactly do you expect different? I have a hard enough time getting every one to fire anyway, I suspect his were some...

The Savage 110 BA rifle report

Re: The Savage 110 BA rifle report Honestly, if you can get a mental picture of what general direction to point the rifle in and the target is big enough to make out with the naked eye, 12x is a little small for me personally. I use a 6.5-20 Nikon on my 220 Swift. This 12-42x just makes it...

Photos Savage 110 BAS (new toy)

Re: Savage 110 BAS (new toy) got the rifle on Christmas Day and didn't get the rings until today. Of course with all the crap to do AFTER Christmas, I just got the scope mounted at 10 pm tonight. Will have to wait for the weather to cooperate before I go shoot. I'm writing up a report and as...

Photos Savage 110 BAS (new toy)

Re: Savage 110 BAS (new toy) ever bought a gun in california? They seem to think you need be kept "away" from all dangerous devices for 10 days. Christmas eve is the 'take possession' day. I can hardly wait.

Photos Savage 110 BAS (new toy)

Re: Savage 110 BAS (new toy) I doubt the mag is propriatary. They list them for use on the 110 and 111 savage and the only difference is the load they hold. Factory cost on the mag is $130. (OUCH) but gunbroker or the other gun accessory sites have some for under $40 ea.

Photos Savage 110 BAS (new toy)

Re: Savage 110 BAS (new toy) Scott- You saying I should zero at 100 or 200 and then click up for the longer ranges? I wonder if there's enough left in the scope to dial up a 1000 yd shot? It does have the 20 MOA ramp on it already.
