    H1000 for 300WM heavy bullets??

I'm reading more about H1000 for 200 grainers in 300WM. Seems like a kick-ass powder. I'll have to try it with the AB's I've got coming. Temp stable 60-90°??

    .300WM 125 grainers?

Today I worked up a load with 125gr AB's. Started@71grs of H4350. The ES settled way down at 73grs with a 3275fps avg and a 17ES. Pressure signs almost there. We'll soon try it on paper. Ought to be fun on some critters!

    .300WM & 200gr Accubond load suggestions

I've got a few 200gr Accubonds coming and need some load data suggestions. Currently I'm using FC brass and 215's. At the moment I only have RL22 & H4350. Thanks

    H4895 vs. imr 4895

You're correct. Guess I just had 4350 on the mind after todays find. Later

So hard to find reliable electronic scales.

I've got the old style Dillon D-Terminator I bought in 1998, and it's been perfect. I don't know about the new version. I start each and every charging session with a check weight to insure I'm spot on.

    H414 vs H4350

I can only find some H414. How well behaved is H414?

    .300WM 125 grainers?

I'm thinking some Accubonds might be fun on a coyote or two.

    Cheaper walnut media?

    Now that's a thought!

    .300WM 125 grainers?

How do 125's shoot in a 1in10" at about 3500fps. I think they would be a blast to try. Maybe some 4350 or H380 to start.

    Cheaper walnut media?

I found a 10qt bag on sale for 7.49@Petco. I'll give it a try with a little RCBS polishing compound. The SS pin tumbled brass sure looks good but no extra funds for the setup.

    Cheaper walnut media?

Has anyone tried this or something comparable? Zilla Walnut Shells Lizard Litter - Substrate & Bedding - Reptile - PetSmart 10qts for under $15

    Digital Calipers recommendation

After a little research I settled on a Mitutoyo Absolute Digimatic. Supposedly the best on the market for the buck. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001C0ZPNO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Digital Calipers recommendation

Those and all the cheaper digitals including Lyman and RCBS are rebranded Harbor Freights like I've got now. Chicom made.

    Digital Calipers recommendation

Not really. Mine is a $14 Harbor Freight and is getting a little rough and requires frequent re-zeros. I'd spend a $100+ bucks if I knew it would last a lifetime, Like a Starrett or Mitutoyo.

    Digital Calipers recommendation

I've got a old cheap set and its time for a upgrade.

Hunting & Fishing Largest animal killed with a 22lr

A whitetall 85lb doe @80yds with a Velociter out of a scoped rifle. Heart shot. Deer lurched 15yds and fell dead. No chit. I was AMAZED. These rounds are awesome. I've taken many rabbits @100yds+ with that round.

    who can answer this? Primers

My approach to priming is simple, always done on a hand tool. I seat till the primer just "touches" then I rotate the case 180 degrees and slightly bump again. I get good uniformity with this method. Seating too hard can break the primer pellet and cause some odd ignition issues.

so, i ran out of argument (starting near book max)

I load to hunt and have never seen max book loads in most of my rifles. I'm a firm believer in a chrony and conservatism. So what if I'm -100 to 150fps. My furry friends don't know the difference. :D
