Rifle Scopes 3 gun, is daylight bright illume a big advantage???

Glad you're liking the scope. Thanks for your support, and thanks very much for the writeup. -Geoff at Burris

Rifle Scopes Steiner M5Xi 5X25 Elevation turret problem

Thanks for the positive feedback. We appreciate the support. Our tech support team is made up of hunters and shooters, and several have gone on to product management roles over the years. Right now there's a champion pistol shooter and an ex cop, and a guy named Squatch (that might not be what...

Rifle Scopes Which tactical scope models are currently made in the USA or Germany?

That's correct. The T series and P Series as well as our hunting scopes (H series and GS3) are made in USA. The M Series are made in Germany. Fun fact: we make scopes in Greeley Colorado that are sold in Germany.

Rifle Scopes New MSR 2 Reticle from FinnAccuracy

Latest news for US release of the M7Xi is October. That's for the non-IFS version. Euro release may be sooner.

    Rifle Scopes Scope advice

I think you mis-typed the reticle choice for the Sig scope. SCR is just on Burris and Steiner stuff. All solid choices! I work for Burris/Steiner. We appreciate making your short list, and appreciate the support. Let me know if you've got any questions.

Rifle Scopes Buying my first higher end scope.

See, that's my point. $1k is certainly LESS. But it's still a lot of money by any reasonable, objective measurement. You can't justify buying a Porsche just because a Ferrari is more. This site leans so heavily towards the ridiculously expensive it's in danger of toppling over. And I wonder...

Rifle Scopes Going price on a Burris Eliminator II, any ideas?

Without sounding like a factory rep...no wait, I guess I am one! The Eliminator II is the previous model. It is less precise, but has more forgiving software than the version III. It is very popular with powder shooters, as the current version doesn't support fast dropping rounds. (that's a...

Rifle Scopes Buying my first higher end scope.

Thanks for having the Burris on your short list. We appreciate the support. I think the only option on the scopes you listed that would be disappointing in the long run is the RFP. You'll get more enjoyment from the target shooting with FFP (not bashing the competition here, just talking...

Hunting & Fishing Burris Fast Fire III Pro's/Con's?

The FF3 solo is about $180. The F3 mount solo is about $80. The mount is not necessary, and most people don't bother with it. Vulnerable point on the FF (and all red dots, I suspect) is the metal piece above the screen. It sticks out and can get bent from abuse and drops. It is covered under...

Hunting & Fishing Burris Fast Fire III Pro's/Con's?

I can't disagree with anything BigDaddy says. Actually, that's an amazingly well written, fair and balanced analysis. Forgot for a moment what website I was on :) . If I can add: -about 5,000 hours of battery life. (wildly differing due to temperature, number of on/off cycles, individual...

Rifle Scopes Vortex PST Gen2 5-25x50mm or Burris Tactical XTR II 5-25x50mm or Bushnell Long Range Hunting Scope 4.5-18x50mm

I don't have a dog in this fight either....no wait, yes I do. I work for Burris. I'd just quickly agree with your starting point: quality scope, but not breaking the bank, and definitely FFP. I think that's exactly where you need to be for the goals you're describing. None of your short-list...

Rifle Scopes Steiner M7Xi Scope with Solver

Bandit31: That's Alberto Corbetta! I hadnt' seen this video, so thanks for sharing. Alberto worked in the Greeley Colorado office for a couple of years, but now works in marketing for Beyreuth. Great guy. The non-IFS M7xi is currently scheduled for US release in late August, September. Let's...

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

I'm hoping someone with better info on clip-ons will chime in. But I do not think the objective lens size would have any impact. A bigger objective never makes a "better image." It allows more light into the inner scope tube, making it better for low light conditions. So it might be a great...

Rifle Scopes Cheap scope for out to 500 yards or so

I don't think we'd be upset if we sold a few more. But certainly not in the $300 range this post is talking about.

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

The M332 and M536 are fixed, but they're also prism sights, so instead of several disc shaped lenses, you get one internal prism to magnify the image. It's like roof-prism binoculars, a thing Steiner engineers know a bit about. It makes them more compact, and theoretically less susceptible to...

    Rifle Scopes Steiner t5xi 5.5-25 vs Steiner m5xi 5-26???

One of my counterparts from Beyrueth is bringing a prototype M7xi to NRA show in Dallas next week. I do not think an M8xi will be there. The M series scopes are German products, so Steiner USA, where I work, will function just as the US distributor on this product. It gets complicated, but for...

    Rifle Scopes Solid hunting scope

I'd like to suggest looking at the new Steiner H4Xi 3-12x56. It's been for sale in Europe for a while, but brand new in US. Euro hunting style is a bit later in the evening than usual here, so they tend to demand lots of light transmission (hence the 56mm). They also like stupid simple...

Rifle Scopes Best 2-10 ish ffp

I apologize for highjacking a thread about 2-10 scopes and turning it into a Burris reticle conversation. We try to provide what the market wants, but you have to balance that with cost, licensing, engineering bandwidth, SKU proliferation, and potential size of market (2-10 tactical...

    Rifle Scopes XTR II woes.

I work at Burris, but in marketing not tech support. You've got a lifetime warranty, and if you want to return that scope, you can absolutely return it. You can set up an RMA yourself anytime at: https://burris.supportsync.com/ But indulge me for a second here: The customer support team isn't...

Rifle Scopes Best 2-10 ish ffp

Ilya and Birddog are, as always, correct about where the 1-8 and 2-10 are made. I'd also point out that the 1-8 also is available in your choice of front or rear FP. I really prefer the RFP on this size, but unlike Ilya, I can't shoot anywhere near 1000 yards with a 8x, so I'm just using it...
