    Accuracy trouble shooting an AR15

Does anyone have a checklist they go through when troubleshooting an AR that just won't shoot? I've covered most of the obvious stuff like properly torquing mounts, rings, barrel nut, flash hider, etc, making sure the barrel is actually free floating and putting another shooter behind it, but...

    MRMBC in Missouri dates set

Re: MRMBC in Missouri dates set Can't freaking wait. Better start working on those movers! A couple fast moving frustration targets would round out the COF nicely.

Gunsmithing Is paint between stock and action a bad thing?

Re: Is paint between stock and action a bad thing? I suspected that to be the case but I'm glad to hear it said out loud. Many thanks

Gunsmithing Is paint between stock and action a bad thing?

I'm nearing completion of my homebrew rifle chassis project and I'm looking into duracoating it to finish. Should I avoid painting the top/interior of the chassis where the action contacts it? Obviously its no biggy to tape it up, but I'm curious if anyone thinks it'd have an affect one way or...

    Milling Yardage

Re: Milling Yardage I have a mil dot master and don't use it. I just taped a mil ranging chart to the back of my shooting log. I can't really see an advantage to doing it electronically. Looks kinda like this but mine is in .1 mil increments.

Rifle Scopes Thoughts on Vortex Viper 2x7

Re: Thoughts on Vortex Viper 2x7 I really enjoy mine on my AR. Glass quality is solid, adjustments work well, and its a great size. My one big gripe is the BDC reticle is a bit thick for shooting at small targets. I believe its 1 MOA thick. Otherwise, Its nice and quick on 2x and 7x is plenty...

    Strongest light made

Re: Strongest light made Surefire makes solid lights but I cannot reconcile their price. I'd take an Elzetta handsdown. Brighter, just as tough, cheaper, high/low output, and tons o configuration options makes it a no brainer for me. Elzetta M60 You can get them with tons of options...

    Rifle Scopes Wotac or Swfa

Re: Wotac or Swfa I've owned both and the SWFA is a far superior scope. The wotacs have some appealing features but the quality of the SWFA is awesome. I'd take another plain mildot mil/moa SWFA over the mil/mil wotac any day.

    Which Geissele trigger?

Re: Which Geissele trigger? I opted for a SSA-E over an SSA and I'm glad I did. I've pulled plenty of nice triggers but I could spend hours playing with me SSA-e. Its that freaking good.

Rifle Scopes Is a 1-4x a waste? Do I need more mag? Any Expert?

Re: Is a 1-4x a waste? Do I need more mag? Any Expert? I've been in a similar optics predicament and purchased a 2-7 viper before they stopped making them. I shoot from 25-600 yards on paper, steel silhouettes, balloons, etc and its does everything I ask of it. I don't have problems using...

    Targets

Re: Targets Something to keep in mind with tannerite is that it requires your projectile to be moving at least 2000 fps at impact. So past 300 yards with most 223 or 308 loads it probably wont detonate.
