    Gunsmithing Help with scope mounting?

Hello, I have a Remington 700 BDL with a Std Leupold mounts as depicted. I don't know if the base holes were made correctly when Remington made the rifle. I recently had some custom work done by Leupold on the scope and their report indicated that I had 15 MOA of windage when the received the...

    4 miss-fires, and a hang-fire using WLR lot#CL555G

Re: 4 miss-fires, and a hang-fire using WLR lot#CL555G They were stored in a toolbox where I keep all my reloading gear, I bought them a month ago. I'll start keeping mine in a ziplock bag, and move them in the house.

    4 miss-fires, and a hang-fire using WLR lot#CL555G

I went to the range yesterday morning to work up a 30-06 208gr A-max load and had 4 miss-fires, and a hang-fire (which happened after a 3 second delay) in 20 shots. I had just started a new lot of WLR primers the night before. I contacted Winchester today and they wanted the primers to...

    Looking for a 208gr 30-06 A-max load using H414

I only have two powders right now, and the only suitable one for the 208 gr A-max is my H414. Does anyone have any recipes for H414 and the 208gr A-max. I've been able to find data for RL-22. I have the Hodgon H414 numbers for 220gr bullets as a max of 52 grs. Should I work back from that...

    Help with Seating depth?

Re: Help with Seating depth? I figured that in my quest to get closer to the rifle lands in a Remington 700 BDL that I would be hard pressed to get there. I guess it will be impossible for me to be between 0.04-0.02" from the lands and still have the diameter in the mouth of the case.

    Help with Seating depth?

I'm reloading for my 30-06. I'm using 48.1 gr of Varget with 168 gr A-Max bullets. I used an OAL gage and determined a COAL of 3.805" for my Remington 700. I made a batch of 5 with a COAL of 3.775" (0.03" jump). The cartridge functioned fine in my rife, but my question is how far does the...

    Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge

Re: Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge My results below: 20 gr 8 sec, 8 sec 45 gr 16 sec, 16 sec 70 gr 18 sec, 17 sec These were done on the normal speed. With the Varget on the fast speed I kept getting overcharges, so I stopped trying. Hope that answers your question.

    Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge

Re: Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge I just got mine in the mail yesterday from Midway! I couldn't wait to fire it up so I had to crank out a few reloads. I've never seen an RCBS Chargemaster up close and personal so I don't know what their construction is like. The Hornady Auto Charge is...
