    Rifle Scopes Another Vortex down

It's interesting how criticizing Vortex makes people so passionate. I see Eotech, Leupold, IOR, SB, and even Hensoldt criticism turn up, yet none of them ever morph into 6+ page monster threadnaughts.

Rifle Scopes TT vs Premier - What's the difference??

If I recall correctly, biggest difference is Premier is out of business.

Rifle Scopes Swapping Optics between gas and bolt platform. Spuhr cantilever or stardard?

I've heard cantilever mounts risk mild flexing on reciprocating semi's, which could potentially damage the scope. But that's just internet rumormill stuff I've read elsewhere. In reality there's probably little to no difference as long as youre able to correctly mount for eye relief across the...

Rifle Scopes Talk me into a Tangent Theta

Scopes at that price level are all essentially perfect, and far into the field of diminishing returns. You're primarily shopping brand reputation and prestige at this point, so take your pick.

Rifle Scopes Talk me off the leadge. 2nd FP hensoldt?

SFP really puts the hensoldt scope into a different category. If I were you and just looking to mix it up, then try out a 3-20 SB.

Rifle Scopes Should I Cerakote my scope?

I dont think tanking the resale value and voiding the warranty is worth it. Also would make it odd if you ever switch it over to a different gun.

    Rifle Scopes Another Vortex down

It is interesting how the warranty is almost always either the first or second thing brought up whenever someone talks about Vortex. You could definitely interpret that a lot of different ways. You could interpret that as excellent customer service. ... or constantly breaking scopes.

    "Best" Semi-Auto Precision Rifle

HK417 or LMT MWS. Accurate, reliable, and extensive proven military track records. If you're looking for quick and easy caliber conversions the LMT MWS is definitely the ticket.

Rifle Scopes Save money with older model?

It really depends on brand and model. The SB PM2s, Nightforce F1, and USO seem to not be getting any cheaper, but you can score some older SB non-PM, Vortex, SFP Nightforce, and leupolds at some awesome prices.

Rifle Scopes Took 7.5 mils up, to zero scope

Did you install the mount backwards? When zeroing with an moa base, shouldn't you be technically dialing 'down' (as in the opposite direction of drop compensation) to maximize your elevation setup?

Rifle Scopes What Case for rifle with a scope

I like the Pelican protector cases. The relevant models are the 1700 1720 and 1750 depending on how large of a case you want. I'm almost certain the 1750 should be able to fit your rifle. My 50cal Barrett fits in one. If the rifle is made of sensitive materials, consider storing the rifle...

I'm a big fan of the 40moa ADM unimounts

    Lwrci Repr Mk2?

I couldn't find any 178gr at my LGS to try out through the rifle. I'll keep an eye out for them if I stumble upon them somewhere else. But here are a couple pics of the rig just for fun.

Rifle Scopes talk me out of a $280 scope for $2800 rifle

The SWFA fixed 10 power is probably the best optic for your price range.

Scar 17s eat optics and accessories

    I've had a 3-9 accupoint on a 17 for 600 rounds, no problems yet.

Rifle Scopes FFp scope under $1500

The Steiner t5xi with rebate would be pretty hard to beat, especially with the 13%-15% extra discount coupon that comes up every couple weeks on opticsplanet.

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR II 1-8????

If you want to jury rig the BDC drop heights to random yardage/meters on the droptable from your loadout, then it defeats the purpose of the BDC, because it disassociates the calibrated width measurements, which were meant to be specific measurements at the marked distances. I was referring to...

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR II 1-8????

Looks like a great scope if you are okay with BDCs. They are only accurate for a specific load from a specific barrel length with a specific height over bore. Others are subtensioned by averaging ballistic drops, which means the markings fit no specific loadout, and only give you a general idea...
