Evaluate my ladder test & groups. 300 yds

Re: Evaluate my ladder test & groups. 300 yds Looks like 89.5-90.5 are the tightest. Like Squarenut said, go from there. Although there is minimal vertical dispersion, as long as you feel you had good form for every shot, no reason not to. But, if you have longer than 300 to work with, that...

people collecting brass at the range

Re: people collecting brass at the range I pick up everything as long as noone is there and it looks like it was abandoned. I usually tumble it all once in walnut to clean it. I inspect everything and save the good stuff that I use and trade the rest, or scrap it.

Maggie’s My local Pawn Shop is full of stupid.

Re: My local Pawn Shop is full of stupid. While my wife was working in Huntington, WV, I would visit here on the weekends and there was a little pawn shop near the shopping center that I would occasionally visit. I would walk the gun counter and see the over-priced stuff then the used guns...

Is single stage press the way to go for precision?

Re: Is single stage press the way to go for precision? I load my precision stuff on my Lee Breech Lock Single Stage. You can do it on a progressive, but I like doing each step by hand, one at a time. Makes me feel like I am putting something into the accuracy of the load.

    Lee factory crimp die

Re: Lee factory crimp die A lot of loaders like the Lee FCD for semi-auto applications and some use it for bolt applications. It will help hold the bullet in place, but as for neck tension, I don't believe it applies a crimp to the length of the neck, just to the mouth of the brass. Most of...

Hey all - New to the forum, been reading all the topics I can to gain some knowledge, but I have one nagging question. I have been reading alot on trimming meplats and pointing dies. Savage 10 scope rings suggestions

Re: Savage 10 scope rings suggestions I have the Burris XTR Lows on my 10FP with an EGW 20MOA base. They are really solid. I used the Wheeler kit to install them and , to my surprise, didn't have to do any lapping. Guess I was lucky.
