    thanks but I am still in a hudge fix to which one.I too was told that the 1/8 dot was really hard on the eye for hunting.It might not be the same ret though,for I have only been looking at the 1/8 dot along with the ret that comes with the vortex. thanks John

    Have ya'll thought about the 200gn hybrid,I think the numbers a pretty good for 1000.I even worked up a load with 4064 at 2520fps from my rifle.Only 7.5 moa in a 10mph wind,and 36.5 for elevation for a 1000 yards. 24" barrel

    I too got lucky the other day.I was in Columbia SC and went to the SportmanGuid and found an 8 pound jug of H1000. ( the last one ) To bad that they didn't have the rest of the powders I needed,if so the wife would had shot me.

    Bullets for the 223 with 1 in 9 twist ?

    I've read that some 1:9 barrels will shoot a 77gn bullet.When I tried them I was able to get 3/4 of an inch at 100.Did get one 1/2 inch group one time but could get them to hold a 1/2 inch for the life of me.Now I shoot the 69gn NCC and a 70gn Berger VLD,with 8208xbr.

    Anyone else's S&W M&P 40 hard on brass?

    Looks alot like my sons S&W 40 brass ( primers ) Even his reloads do the same,and his loads are in the mid range for a hand load.So I 'll take a guess to its just the way they made it,and how it comes out looking.Maybe some more M&P owners will post and add to this.
