    This definitely sucks. Submarine lost.

Signed waivers of risk might be construed by a judge to just release injuries caused only by simple negligence. Waivers may be held by a judge not to release injury caused by reckless, or gross negligence, or intentional conduct. For example, just because the customer signed a general waiver...

    This definitely sucks. Submarine lost.

I'm guessing the 19 year old passenger may have already choked to death the billionaire pilot who built it, as well as the CEO of the company that owns it. 40 percent increase in O2, and maybe well deserved? After all, they did promise an adventure and no refunds.

Frank is right. The riders who paid the $250K each were bestowed the silly title of "citizen scientist." So, under those standards, @Bigfatcock is now an official "citizen gynocologist"?

    This definitely sucks. Submarine lost.

Allegedly may have had a carbon fiber with titanium hull because more metal too heavy and slow, if multiple deep dives, if multiple expansions and contractions, and pop goes the weasel.

Do not deal with The Hogs Den

Ryan in his post up above mentioned some of Chris' dba's or aka's but let me correct. The Latinaincorvina should read latinaincovina, as in West Covina, California and was an email for in my understanding Chris wife(?). CruZ was the same name name of a person that was IDd to me as Chris' son...

    Trapdoor Windage Instructions

Some 19th century US domestic snipers preferred the 1873 Trapdoor. Here's Geronimo with an 1873 Trap and some of his favorite crew, after surrendering in 1886.

    1907 Sling manufacturer mark ID

Post a photo over at US Militaria Forum. That'sthe bastion of knowledge regarding all things US field gear incl. 1907 WWI and WWII slings. IMHO if that's the only mark on the sling, it's likely commercial or foreign, not US. There was an inspector with initials JC but that's not what his stamp...

    1861 Tower By Daw

If you like this kind of thing, then this is probably the kind of thing you'll like. Not mine, no association, but I'd like to shoot it. Over and over. https://civilwarshop.com/shop/civil-war-tower-rifle-by-g-h-daw-exceptional-condition-circa-1861/

Source for Schneider USMC Contract Barrel?

I drive by Gary's totally nondescript but very historic, at least to me!, building near Payson Airport every several weeks. I will try to stop in and talk to who is there and what's up now.

    .22 Ammo

Interesting history on the various iterations of these. https://www.breachbangclear.com/gau-5a-usaf-ar-style-survival-gun/ Now I want the one with the .410 and the 22 hornet with the folder.

    Trapdoor Windage Instructions

I thought some of you might like to see this set of Army drift/windage instructions from maybe the 1880s? Click the picture and it blows up to full size. Trapdoors really are not my thing, but I presume they are for a M1873 or more likely an M1882 with the improved rear sight. I stole these from...

    .22 Ammo

Cool. Box looks certainly 1960s. I presume they are the brass crimped with bird shot. I think was against the Geneva Convention back then to shoot Charlie with bird shot. So maybe that what the label in saying. Seems silly, but rules are rules. But was OK back then to use bird shot on to...

    2023 Toyota Sequoia

Any Sequoia will run 350k miles if you change the oil. Super reliable. The V8s haul ass, fast, much more fast and way better ride than my Yukon or Tahoes. My favorite model years are the the 2008 range in terms of large size, it seems like they started shrinking after that. They are hard to find...

    F-150 owners

I agree, you need both a long and short bed. The price has really dropped on used trucks in the last month. Buy 2 low miles 4 or 6 year old trucks for a lot loss than you'll pay for one new one, drive them for 2 years, and sell and get all your move back.

Which one of you is this?

I'd blame euchre. Once the idiot Wisconsin side of the family starts dealing euchre, they will sit, smoke and drink, and play for days and not even stand up.

Maggie’s I'm Such The Chainsaw Connoisseur Apparently

I have no idea what this thread is about because I was too lazy to read it, but I do like my stihl 361, it's a great saw, except it did try to kill me once. But a couple of my old girlfriends tried that too, and I really did like them as well, so I don't hold any grudge against the 361.

Is Something Happening with Nord Stream 1 and 2 under the Baltic Sea?

This waterway is highly monitored by hi res satellite footage, seafloor monitors, acoustically for engine noise, and much otherwise. And it's not very deep. Each craft that has ever been in the area for years is therefore well known, by name, flag, capabilites, business there, where it came...
