    Suppressors 1911 .....sti/sig .....UPDATED 2/26/10

Re: 1911 Opinions.....STI....SIG... Sounds like a lot of good feedback so far. I would agree with the STI over Sig for a 1911. Also, it sounds like a good idea to wait and see some in person at a Gun Show. Even if you have seen both in person before, I always find it helpful to be able to...

Suppressors Looking for a new .45 CCW

Re: Looking for a new .45 CCW I had a P220 Carry and liked it; although, for the weight to capacity trade-off, I decided to go back to a 1911 as I prefer that platform. Nothing against the 220, but it didn't work for my application as well as the 1911. My brother has a M&P and I have been...

Remington 5r and Night Hawk = a great combo

Early this year I began the process of acquiring my first real precision rifle. I purchased a Remington 5r, an Accuracy International folding stock, and a Leupold 6.5X20. Then I had the barrel Cerakoted black and threaded to accept a muzzle brake. I really liked the OD green and black color...

Suppressors Nighthawk GRP Recon or Wilson CQB Tac LE

Re: Nighthawk GRP Recon or Wilson CQB Tac LE Can't go wrong with either. Most recently I went with Nighthawk due to aesthetic reasons. For me, it really is about finding the particular model that appeals to you the most.

My first precision rifle (thanks Phylodog)

This is my first precision rifle. Remington 5r (.308) in an ACIS 2.0 with Leupold Mark IV 6.5X20 ill TMR. Muzzle brake and Cerakote and a shilen trigger. Phylodog (Nash Gunwerx) hooked me up with Cerakote. I've included a before and after pic. He did an awesome job and although I'm biased, I...

    Suppressors Glock 19

Re: Glock 19 My experience is like the other posters'. I have not had a problem with any ammo in my G19. My G19 has gotten to feed on wide range of 9mm ammo including whatever I can get a deal on for range time. Try a few out and see which ones you think work best for your intended purposes.

Re: My Sig229 vs HKP30L Use Conclusions Good write-up. I have found that putting some serious time behind a gun during some courses or other training is the best way for me to get a read on how much I like a gun. I have had nothing but good luck with my HKs, but I have never taken them...

Suppressors My First Nighthawk: A New Old School Enforcer

My local gun shop has a great selection of 1911s and I stop by there frequently to see if anything new has shown up or just to handle some of my favorites (I buy one every now and then so they seem okay with me putting my paws on a lot of the guns). Anyway, there is one 1911 in particular that...
