WTS-Nightforce 5.5-22X56 NXS scope and Desert Tactical 30 MOA mount

$1450 is a great deal. The NP-R1 is essentially the MOAR-T without numbers. Who needs numbers? Wish I needed another one of these great NXS's. They don't tunnel at low power like my ATACR's do.

Rifle Scopes S&B PM II 5-25 vs. NF ATACR 7-35

I guess, number one, I feel that once you get to glass quality of, say, the NXS, and certainly the ATACR, there is no benefit to be had from "better glass," if it in fact exists. Second, as soon as I have fired a shot on a cold day, or all the time on a hot day, the picture is wavy no matter...

Rifle Scopes S&B PM II 5-25 vs. NF ATACR 7-35

I shot a PMII 5-25 and it seemed to have short eye relief. My ATACR does not have the ER my NXS does, but it is not bad.

Rifle Scopes PSA - Burris XTR Signature rings

I have the 30mm and 34mm and love them. Thousands of rounds, always true and no marks on my tubes. With a new mount I love being able to set my turrets to where I want them to live AND THEN sight in almost entirely by changing/rotating the inserts, using the turrets only for the last bit of...

Rifle Scopes Parallax vs Image Focus

Every time I've had parallax error when the picture was sharp it was because I did not have the ocular set correctly for my eye.

Rifle Scopes Scope help before my head explodes!

I would look carefully at the eye-relief of each option.

Rifle Scopes New scope and adverse effects on groups?

I don't even try to shoot accurately when I have muzzle-breaks going off near me. I think the concussion pushes/pulls my bullets around. Or maybe I just flinch. I wait for their mag-changes to shoot. That said, I do think different scopes affect harmonics differently.

Rifle Scopes Finally got to mess with a NF ATCR F1....and it tunnels? Lol

Okay, so my 5-25 is really a 6.5-25. Still glad I got it.

    Rifle Scopes Hunting/ Target Scope???

Over everything you listed I would take 2.5-12.5x42 Trijicon Accupoint. Sharper glass than anything except the NF. Easier to look through than anything. But it's the fiber-optic dot that makes it the best scope you can put on a hunting rifle.

Rifle Scopes Over 40yrs old + Lasik + Scope shooting

I had Lasik about 10 years ago when I was in my 50's. Best thing I ever did. Had 20/15 vision at distance after the surgery and could see through a scope great. In the last couple of years my eyes have changed shape a bit to about 20/25, so I have some driving/shooting glasses which get me...

Rifle Scopes Burris Xtr Signature rings?

I love 'em. Being able to put your turret settings to where you want them to live and THEN sight in without touching them (until the last little bit) is great.

Rifle Scopes Need help mounting a scope. Which rings?

It doesn't hurt to remove and replace, just to be sure, but when I have removed mounts from Savage receivers the screws were held in place by some kind of thread adhesive. It's also nice if not a new gun to make sure there is no corrosion going on underneath the mounts. I use nothing but...

Rifle Scopes Best power for small game 100 yards or less 10x or 6x

I have plenty of 6x scopes and plenty of 10x, but what I choose for my fixed-power .22 hunter is a 6x. Mine is an El Paso Weaver K6 I paid $40 or $50 for. I have much more expensive scopes that would love to take its place, but they aren't going to. The light weight, fine reticle, clarity and...

    Rifle Scopes Need recommendations

I would get an Athlon Midas 4.5-27x50, but new they are closer to $600.

Rifle Scopes Talk me out of a used Nightforce NXS

To me the weight of the NXS would be a bit much for backpack hunting, but there is certainly nothing wrong with the optic, and I'm with you on the SFP preference.
