    Gunsmithing Chamber out of spec

Think about a BRX. That's a blow out of .100" and the brass still lasts forever if you size it correctly. The amount of blowout on the first firing is a non issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rifle Scopes Nightforce v US Optics

I have 5 that all track perfectly, and I know how to properly test them. USO has made huge improvements in recent years.

    Gunsmithing Who predrills their chambers?

.010'' under diameter and .100'' short is what I do.

    Gunsmithing Who predrills their chambers?

You are following a bore that isn't straight, so it induces runout.

    Gunsmithing Who predrills their chambers?

As the others have said, you have to bore after you drill. I can't imagine chambering without doing it this way.

    Gunsmithing Grizzly G0509G

I use a rotary from Phoenix Phase Converter on my Sharp that has a 5 HP motor. I also mounted it outside of the shop, but it is quite enough you don't need to. I believe it is also made in the USA and was about $675 shipped for a 10 HP.

    Vectronix Vector 21 B

Learn something new everyday. What is the spacing on the subtensions? Do you miss the big 10 mil marks? I always really liked those since I shoot with a guy a lot who ran a PLRF10C and we could easily work together to locate targets by calling 55 mils left of the windmill for example.

I think you posted the wrong picture. That or you have very unique reticle in your vectors.

Gunsmithing Confirming headspace on an AI rifle

A piece of masking tape on the back of some factory brass should be close enough.

Gunsmithing Swapping a barrel on an AW, any tips?

    I use painters tape.

    Custom chamber/reamer

JGS is widely considered the gold standard in reamers. With that said the majority I have are PTG and cut very nice chambers. JGS seems to have better quality control in my experience.

Jon Beanland barreled TRG-22 in 6BR

No clue on the first picture. Tiny pic must have given that code to a new picture so it changed it here.

    Jewell triggers are pussies

When this man speaks everyone on here should listen. He has forgotten more than most will ever know.

    Not Bedding my XLR/Stiller?

XLR makes a fully inlet chassis, not a v-block. There is no need to bed. It will already be nearly stress free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Gunsmithing barrel work after cerakoat?

I've worked on several of my own in the lathe after cerakote and have not felt a need to have them refinished. I don't recall any marking on them at all.

Interest in firing pin bushing service for AI rifles

How many firing on the brass? I would be really surprised if the pockets last more than 2-3 firings at those pressures.
