    Re: Crye Knee pads vs. Arc'teryx Knee Caps I have both and like both very much. I like the fact that the Crye pads are "built in" to the pants, but would have absolutely no problems at all wearing the Knee Caps as my only set if need be. Both are great.

    Re: 260 velocities RE17 will get you to 2900 out of a 26" tube. I saw no pressure at all there, but found better accuracy at 2850fps.

    Re: Any INTEL on OTTE gear? Got to play with a buddy's DK Hybrid jacket recently. Definitely a cool idea to add hard shell panels on top while retaining the stretchy soft shell breatheability elsewhere.

    Re: hunting rifle weight 7lbs with optics. Once you have a light rifle you won't want to carry anything else. Two examples that are right around 7lbs scoped: 300 WSM @ 7lbs 3oz scoped (Rem 700 in McMillan EDGE) 30-06 @ 7lbs scoped (Sako A7 in McMillan EDGE - 6lbs 1oz as seen in pic)

    ak 47 kit ???

    Re: ak 47 kit ??? The investment in tooling to build one AK isn't worth it. If you're going to build, five or more, maybe. If the kit you purchase is for a standard stamped receiver you need a 1mm receiver. the guys at www.nodakspud.com make the best US-made stamped receivers available.
