Re: OAL question Good question shouldn't the bullet be in complete contact with the entire length of the neck? In My Rem 700 .308's (2) the bullet is actually about to fall out of the case neck before it reaches the lands 168gr amax though.- 2clicks

Re: Rl-15 and 168 Hornady A-max FWIW YAOG Has a very good point. The M1A isnt a bolt action and Bolt action loads do not apply to a gas gun. I just put 40.5 grs of Imr4895 in Lake City brass and PMJ brass with a 168 gr AMax winchester primers this weekend., and it was right on in my NMM1a...- 2clicks

Re: 308...different loads for different distances? Old faithful with a 700p 26" barrel 168amax 43grs Imr4895 out to 600yrds. 2700fps zero vertical on a 600yrd ladder test between 42.5 & 43grs. Yeah I know but I got it for $16 a lb. Plus my elevation knobs work great...- 2clicks

Re: Powder measure for .223... Winchester 748 might throw more consistently. It's worked for me out of the same measure. So did Imr4895. I still wasn't happy until I got a harrells and a rcbs chargemaster. With the lee I tapped reservoir twice threw the load tapped twice with lever down...- 2clicks

Re: If you were building a 260. Short or long acti I had my action modified, notched out to feed the longer bullets but as you can see by the loaded round lengths I doubt it needed it with that 260 match chamber oal's especially the Lapua 139 oal.- 2clicks
