Hunting & Fishing future duck dog!
yesterday a friend gave me his 5 month old chocolate lab puppy. I am really interested in training this dog to retrieve but have absolutely no clue where to start. She isn't afraid of water. He has a pond in his back yard with some ducks in it all white with 1 mallard and she chased that duck...- bigtater80

Re: goose hunting questions - again +1 on the better shells. I prefer to do the biggest part of my shooting at less than 30 yards and just ain't big on the 50+yd shooting. Re: goose hunting questions - again that's a nice set up you got. never have used a pistol grip for wing shooting though. Did you just shoot once at 50 with the full? take an average of 3-5 shots and see what you get.- bigtater80

Re: berger hunting vlds for .300 win mag. what kinda velocities could I expect from the 210s? what's recoil like? Figured 190s wouldn't be to bad and still shoot purty flat. I'm a long way from shooting a mile I'm thinkin more 5-600 max starting out.- bigtater80

I'm getting ready to start reloading for my .300 win mag. Its a plain stainless sps with 26" regular profile barrel. I have a gift certificate that will cover my bullets, powder, and primers from a local shop. I just found out they carry berger bullets and I've read good things on em but only...- bigtater80
