    SP10 6CM feeding issues

Pretty sure those are x47 cases. But your point is still valid. I'm done. Carry on. Learning a lot in this thread.

    7 PRC market penetration

I'm still shooting 7 Rem Mag, and don't anticipate switching any time soon. Slightly more case capacity, really good ADG brass, and tons of factory ammo. The kids can have the PRC.

What are my options for converting a TRG-42 to .338 Norma?

What kind of improvement are you looking for? 338 Norma has ~10-15 grains less case capacity than the Lapua, so all else being equal it is a little slower than the Lapua (improving the Norma closes this gap). The Norma is a shorter case, which allows you to seat long bullets out of the powder...

What are my options for converting a TRG-42 to .338 Norma?

Correct, 338 Norma improved is a wildcat that sharpens the shoulder angle while pushing the shoulder forward, and also removes some body taper. Similar to other Ackley improved designs. These improvements increase case capacity and lead to more stable case dimensions, at the expense of...

What are my options for converting a TRG-42 to .338 Norma?

Barrel life is a major factor with 300 Norma in my experience, to the extent that chasing maximum ballistics wasn't worth it for me. My first barrel lasted around 600 rounds. I also couldn't get the super heavy Bergers to shoot as consistently as the 215 grain, so I mostly shot the 215. As an...

    7mm 300 PRC

Just curious - why would someone choose this chamber over a 28 Nosler, which is commercially available and has outstanding brass readily available?

    338 Norma -vs- 338 Lapua (Savage 110BA)

300s at 3120 out of a Norma improved? There is no way that is safe. That is XC territory.

    338 Norma -vs- 338 Lapua (Savage 110BA)

Why would you do a 30-338 Norma improved when you could just do a 300 Norma improved?

Best lightweight stock that can handle a Proof Bull?

Best lightweight stock that can handle a Proof Bull?

I have an EH-1 with a 1.25 Proof Sendero and the barrel barely fits, and looks a little porky. No way you could fit a bull barrel in there. Not many hunting stocks have the foreend width for a bull barrel. I would be looking at a carbon fiber tactical stock like a McMillan A3/A3-5 or a...

    Gunsmithing Proof barrels

Proof CF have been very accurate for me in 3 magnum hunting rifles. And I like having enough shoulder to be able to thread the muzzle 3/4". Edited to add: all of my Proof barrels were done by custom shops; none were prefits.
