    83 Year Old

I got my old 1927 Winchester 52 Slowlock out today. Of course by the time I got everything set up the wind was gusting about 10 mph but I was still pretty happy with the results. Just shot this one 10 shot group cause of the wind. Thought yall might enjoy seeing this old timer. The 52's were...

    M1A - Need opinions

Re: M1A - Need opinions I really like my National Match. I use it for deer hunting and it's fairly heavy but we hunt out of stands mostly so I don't have to carry it very far. If the shit hit the fan it would definatly be my go to rifle.

    Home-Made Targets! Show yours here....

Re: Home-Made Targets! Show yours here.... My favorite is empty beer cans filled with water. They explode nicely when hit, are cheap, and are fun to make.

    Rifle Scopes Very old scope

Re: Very old scope Update. I had someone from another forum say they thought it was a Stevens 331, circa 1911, and 3.5 power. Hmmm...now I guess I need a rifle from that era to mount it on.

Re: 22 at 100yds Rifle is 70, I'm a little over a half a century. Yes,that's a Lyman Super Target Spot scope in 15X. I've been told to get some good match ammo so when I can I'll try some more kinds and post pics. Still experimenting with ammo but she seems to like the slower stuff so far.

I was trying out some different ammo this morning and thought I'd share. Not that great but not too bad for a 70 year old.

    My Semi-Auto

Re: My Semi-Auto OK,LOL, I'm busted! Actually that bipod is not mounted, I just used it to prop the gun up for the pics. The Bassett mount has worked fine so far and hasn't come loose. Took it off and put it back on once and it stayed on zero. I keep the mounting tool in the buttstock...

    Rifle Scopes Very old scope

Re: Very old scope Thanks guys. It's a little different than gaffers 338, especially the mounts. BTW, it's 18 3/16" long and I'm guessing about 8 power. Actually has pretty good glass, clear and sharp. Do these things have any collector value?

    Old target rifles/ new scopes

I got one of these EGW mounts and really like it. Simple, clean, and holds zero. Great way to put a modern scope on a vintage target rifle w/o drilling any holes. The one for a Winchester 52 worked just fine on my 75. Used some med. Burris Signature Z's to mount a Mueller 4x16x50...
