    Ultrasonic cleaner...any need for tumbler?

Re: Ultrasonic cleaner...any need for tumbler? I'm confused.... My de-primer is integral to the resizing die so there is no option to de-prime a necked case before cleaning. Also, seems if you tumble as the last step then you still deal with all of the problems of tumbling such as getting...

    Gunsmithing Ultrasonic cleaner okay???

I bought my first ultrasonic cleaner yesterday. I ran two bolts and a top end of my SR9 through using Hornady parts cleaner. I followed by drying with compressed air and then one-shot dry lube down into the bolts with a couple drops of oil rubbed on the slides. Are they okay to use for this...

    Ultrasonic cleaner...any need for tumbler?

I just bought my first ultrasonic cleaner. I've run about 100 cases of 9mm and 100 30-06 cases and like the results, however doesn't really "Polish" like a tumbler. That aside, is there any reason I'm not seeing to keep my old tumbler around...I'm thinking I'd like to get rid of it but afraid...

Re: Loss of accuracy at 1000 yds Since you suspect a change...what was the jump to the lands you were loading for when you had your best accuracy? If ???something??? changed that changes your chamber depth then maybe just try redialing your load? In my experience I notice drastic accuracy...

    Is a single-stage press practical?

Re: Is a single-stage press practical? I have a single stage and the Hornady progressive. I use the progressive for pistol (the powder measure is extreemly consistent and accurate for small measures). However for rifles, the measure develops too much variation for my liking to load anything...

Is Savage killing the Custom Rifle market?

Re: Is Savage killing the Custom Rifle market? Good point. Velocity variation of up to 1000fps may only equate to 1/4" difference in elevation at 100yds...but run 1000fps difference through your ballistic comp and it may be in the range of 3 MOA additional drop at 1000 yds. So you can have...
