    6.5 Creedmoor Neck Bushing Selection

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor Neck Bushing Selection I don't know about the Redding sizer but Hornady makes 2 bushings for their match grade and one is .290 and the other is .288. A loaded factory match 140gr shell has a neck is .291/.292. Take that for what is is worth but I have been using the .290...

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Confusion?

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor Load Confusion? I am just finishing up developing one for my rifle and 2933 average with 43.7 and no signs of pressure. 43.9 showed slight ejector marks but no sticky bolt. My factory loads were around 2800. 25" McGowen barrel.

    McGowen barrels???

Why don't I see them used on custom rigs as much as some of the others? I have one and it has been a good one. I just wondered if there was something I didn't know. Getting ready for another build and seeing if I just got a good one or they just aren't popular for another reason. Thanks guys.

    twist question...

So I have a 22-250 that a buddy is interested in buy but wants to know the twist. How can I check it without putting a marked rod in it? It is a Savage model 10 w/ supposedly either a 1:9 or 1:14. Thanks...I ask because I doing really want to mark up a cleaning rod if I can keep from it.

Re: Bullet "jump" Uploaded with ImageShack.us Here is my target, shot at 100 yds (longest I had access too)...going to work with the center one. #5 target was shot with factory Hornady ammo I bought just to get some brass prior to loading. This was shot at .010 jammed so will play with...

    Another 6.5 vs .308 question!

Re: Another 6.5 vs .308 question! Uploaded with ImageShack.us I had my smith pull my 30-06 barrel off my Savage and replaced it with a 6.5 Creedmoor. That is a 100 yd load development target but target 5 in the corner was shot with 140gr factory shells. The first 4 targets were shot with...

    Bullet "jump"

I have narrowed my load down and now I am ready to start messing with OAL. I saw in the sticky loading write ups to start at .010 but it didn't say how far to go? When testing how far off the lands will y'all go looking for a load that shoots well? Thanks.

    Made the stainless media jump

Re: Made the stainless media jump I was reluctant to drop the cash but my buddies talked me into it. I would have a hard time deciding between it and the chargemaster on which was the better move.

Re: 6.5X47 or .260 Remington mtnhntr...just curious, what velocity are you running @ 40gr and how long is your barrel (asking that made me a little uncomfortable haha)? I did a ladder test and 41 was a good area but looking at most folks were loading I decided to load up another test (hope...
