So what brand chronograph is the hide favorite?

I'm anxiously awaiting the Labradar arrival. I love my Magnetospeed I, but wish I could use it with pistols. By the way, the two rifles I've used my Magnetospeed with shifts their POI about 2-3" high at 100 yds. It still groups with it attached, but the groups are higher.

Good price for new LC 308 brass

Graf & Sons - LAKE CITY BRASS 308 M80 PRIMED PULL DOWN PER 100 I use a Forster bump die (without a decapper/expander) to size the neck down to give .002-.003" tension and assure the shoulder is where it should be (.003-.004" clearance for my M1A). Chamfer and deburr mouths. I leave the tar in...

What level of runout on brass would you accept after using FL sizing die?

Would using Redding's floating carbide expander ball eliminate the off center problem? I started using them on all my bushing dies thinking that it would help with runout. Tell me I didn't waste my money!! Lol

New brass trashing bullet jackets, any fix?

You could use a Lyman 7mm "m-die" used for prepping brass for use with cast bullets. It will lessen the tension. So what (in thousandths) is the neck tension of a loaded round now at?

    Giraud trimmer question

As long as you're not close to your chamber's max length and you don't use a crimp, length variance of a couple thousandths between cases doesn't matter much. Just my humble opinion.....

Redding Instant Indicator Comparator with Dial

I just bought one and love it! Seems to give a much more finite and repeatable measurement than any other measuring methods I've used in the past. One question: Can one indicator be bought, and other calibers be measured by swapping out the internals? Just trying to save money.....

Trying to find .308 Forster dies

I was looking for the identical dies, and these people had them. They are out of Canada, but they shipped them to me reasonably quick and cheap. Hirsch Precision Inc. - Shooting Sports Supplies - Forster Reloading Dies

When checking ES....How many in string?

I just got done using my Magneto today for the first time. It worked flawlessly. My loads that have the bullets jammed definately had lower SDs.

When checking ES....How many in string?

I'm trying to work up a few good loads for my LR rifles, and generally use 5 shot groups for accuracy checks. How many shots should I shoot minimum to check the ES of a load's velocity? I assume more than 5 shots. From what I've been reading, 20fps ES or under is what I'm trying for...

Jambing a bullet into the lands, using Hornady OAL to find base to Ogive, Help me?

I followed the method shown on the video posted here. My bolt moved very free after the FP was removed, and "fell" into battery when no cartridge was present, but after I started working with the cartridge, there was much more drag. I FL sized the brass beforehand, and made sure I had between...

I'm going to take the Quickload "plunge"

I've read waaaay too much good stuff about this program, and since I love handloading and tinkering with loads, I figure I'll use it a lot and enjoy it. Question: Is there any group buys or "sales" going on now? If not, is there only one place to buy it from? Any tips on buying the program...
