    Smokeless load for a 45-120

Re: Smokeless load for a 45-120 If the Win is in GOOD condition its good to go with smokless. Black is better for its age. I would give Trailboss a try. It was developed for older straight walled cases, such nas 45-70 or larger. Use the 45-70 Trapdoor load data. Go with a 405gr FLAT NOSE...

    Smokeless load for a 45-120

Re: Smokeless load for a 45-120 AS my user name implyes i shoot 45-120, and I shoot it alot. That big case is more for black powder. If this is an original rifle you should really use black or pyrodex, less pressure. I would do a chamber cast to make sure it is a 120, because the sharps...

    Primer pocket cleaning

Re: Primer pocket cleaning Its up to you,but there have been tests done and no difference was found. The only thing I will add is I also shoot alot of Black Powder Ctg, Rifles. In those cases YOU HAVE to clean the pocket or the powder residue will corrode the brass away.

    Manners prototype M1A stock

Re: Manners prototype M1A stock Anything is better than the stock that comes with the rifle from the factory. Its a great battle stock but if you scope it thats where you can go nuts trying to get a cheek weld. If it became production i would buy one as soon as i could for both of my rifles...

    FN-SPR bottom metal

I'm looking to replace the factory DBM system with something that holds more rounds. My rifle has the A4 stock and I hate the factory mag system. I've seen pictures of the same rifle with bottom metal that excepts AICS mags. Any help will be helpful, thanks.

    5r

Re: 5r 43.5gr IMR 4064 with 168 Nosler Custom Competition seems to work the best out of my shooting partners 5R. He has the same accuracy with 45.5 Varget also. Noslers shot better than SMK in all my 308's. Each gun is different so you have to try different bullets and powders until you find...

Re: Bell headstamp on 338LM? Bell brass is good for BPCR,thats all I use for my Sharps and Rolling Blocks. Have'nt nad any problems with them so far,but black powder is a different animal all together. If your afraid to shoot them give them to me. I'll put them through my TRG-42 and Rem 700 MLR.

    260 Rem. vs 6.5 Creedmoor

Re: 260 Rem. vs 6.5 Creedmoor Wow looks like I opened a big bag of worms? The price of brass is'nt the issue, I reload for every caliber I have 222 Rem up to my 50 BMG, Including my big Sharps and Rem. Rollers. Once you get over 300 win mag prices start to get high. I'm paying over 2 bucks a...
