    It looks like eberlestock sells 3 different size rain covers it just isn't included. Which is a bummer for a $300 pack, lol. From your pics and my questions I'm not really seeing any downsides to this pack other than weight. I'm perfectly fine using a sling for my rifle as long as I can strap up...

    How deep is the inside of the bag? Trying to mentally pack my gear in your pics, lol! Also, does it have a water resistant bottom or is it just the normal fabric on the rest of the pack? Thank you!

    For me the difference lies in the gear I pack when I leave the house. I like to be able to put everything in one bag and then unload some of my extra spares, cleaning kit, day 2's ammo, etc at the hotel before the actual walking starts.
