    I turn mine in a drill and hold over a propane torch for 5 sec every other firing. That's the equivalent of using 700 deg F Tempilaq paint without having to paint every cartridge.

    Interesting....I'm not at all familiar with QL but what kind of inputs are required to get this data? Powder, bullet, seating depth, case, cartridge & barrel length? QL must have some database to draw from to formulate this kind of info. Have you seen this work on other cartridges?

    When you paint GAP camo do you start with the darker colors or the the lighter? I got some templates from Bulldog and have started experimenting but it's not coming out like some of the nice looking ones we see posted here on the Hide. I trying for more of a brown/tan look to go with FDE metal...

    Thanks for the comments guys. Looks like the best reason to go with a 6CM over a 243 is COAL otherwise it's pretty much a toss up. Does anyone know it the case length of the 6CM & 6.5CM are the same?

    Mike - shooting DTAC 115 bullets interests me, would a 7.5 twist in a 22" barrel work okay? Can they be loaded in mag length?

    Deer, coyotes and the occasional antelope is all that would be hunted. I like the shorter length to help long bullets fit into mag length but the 243 has been around for a long time. Just wondering if there was something I was missing.

    In the sense of a combination LR shooting/hunting gun with a 22" barrel, is there any practical difference between the performance of these two cartridges?....Barrel life? Assuming the they both had the same rate of twist for the heavier bullets.

    After doing a tall target test of my scope, I need to enter a correction factor (0.981) but cannot seem to find where to do this. In another thread, it was called the SSF (Sight Scale Factor) but neither the Kestrel or my Profile Loader has this option. Anyone got some input on this?

    Bryan - I have my CF but cannot find a place to enter the value in my Kestrel w/AB. I do not see SSF in either the unit or the AB Profile Loader on my PC. Am I looking in the wrong place?
